Hapless Bills Fan Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 Bruno the Bear's 450-mile-ish 4 state trek has come to an end NW of St Louis. Bruno has gained a social media following, with video posted of him swimming the Mississippi, crossing a highway, out in a farm field https://www.stltoday.com/news/local/state-and-regional/a-month-ago-a-wild-black-bear-was-in-wisconsin-and-heading-south-now-it/article_509e6f77-9932-5720-9a8f-4d24f4ed02bc.html Black bears are not known to be present in NE MO, so it's believed to be the same bear. But, as he neared St Louis, concern increased that he wouldn't make it outta there. In particular, a bear who made a trek N into Jefferson County a year or two ago was shot and killed. Bruno was tranquilized and relocated to what's considered a safe bear habitat https://www.stltoday.com/news/local/metro/bruno-the-wandering-black-bear-captivated-midwesterners-but-was-his-trek-all-that-unusual/article_394d579b-ac6f-5085-8004-eea113892df4.html#utm_source=stltoday.com&utm_campaign=%2Fnewsletter-templates%2Fbreaking&utm_medium=PostUp&utm_content=c5590820a663cb96ab50a2bdbd89f76bb26c24f7 Hopefully he will find whatever he was looking for - a lady bear? his own territory? and live happily ever after.
ExiledInIllinois Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 Can't say I blame them. Hope Bruno stays out of East St.Louis... Didn't go so well for the Griswolds: Bet he'd like the jazz though: Godspeed Bruno!
Augie Posted July 9, 2020 Posted July 9, 2020 I’m thinking Bruno next to Ed could get us some serious pressure up the middle on passing downs! 1
