marky Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 The Washington Patawomeck Keep the same logo. Add a badge to the jersey. Work out an agreement for ownership shares and payout to local tribes. They will have the best sports book in the world. All the Feds and DC fans would go crazy.

section122 Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 DC Redskins has a nice name. Changes out the offensive and leaves the history! On a more serious note if they are worried about the history they could go back to their original name of the Washington Braves. From the wiki: RedskinsReport.com revealed on July 4, 2020 that if there were a renaming, team owner Dan Snyder would still prefer to use a Native American name and keep the current Redskins emblem and uniform color. 1
sven233 Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 "Washington Crooks" or "Washington Thieves" sounds about right..... 4 1
Rocky Landing Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 If Snyder were smart (questionable), he would sit down with the National Congress of American Indians, and discus different name, and logo proposals. He's been clutching onto this brand for so long, and the brand value is crumbling in his hands, and has been for quite some time. If he does this right, he could have an opportunity to increase his team's brand significantly. 1

Striking some type of allegiance with the Native Americans indigenous to the area all around DC would be a great idea, especially if both parties figure out a way to profit off of new gambling revenue streams created by the partnership. They have a great opportunity to turn lemons into lemonade and come out looking good, if they do this right. 1

Saxum Posted July 8, 2020 Posted July 8, 2020 San Antonio Spurs. Just get rid of the whole history. https://www.voanews.com/usa/race-america/washington-redskins-remove-racist-founder-team-material Quote The NFL’s Washington Redskins team is making a clean break with its past and is removing the name of founder George Preston Marshall from all official team material, as well as pulling his name from the stadium’s Ring of Fame. Marshall was an avowed segregationist and the last NFL owner to allow Black players on the team. He did so in 1962 only after President John Kennedy’s administration threatened to evict the team from playing in the stadium, which was built on federal property.
