So if anyone other than Trump were President these millions of people would be wearing masks? That their views on personal freedoms somehow changed in the last 3.5 plus years?   Dude.  Either you don’t understand how important personal choice is to millions of Americans (right or wrong in this case) or you don’t understand how ingrained those freedoms are in people’s every day lives or TDS has got so ahold of your brain you have lost your ability to think critically.  I’m going with door number three Monty.

You are confusing personal choice with stupidity being advocated by the President.

His followers believed him when he said it was nothing to be concerned about, that it will magically disappear, that it was a hoax by the Dems, that masks don't do anything, that the heat of April will kill it, that injecting poison into your body might be a solution and so on.

A stupid man telling stupid people what to do hasn't worked out so well, but it is what it is..

If Hillary has won and told everyone to wear masks do you think the same people not wearing masks today would still not be wearing masks?

Hillary isn't President no matter how many times you obsess about her.

His followers believed him when he said it was nothing to be concerned about, that it will magically disappear, that it was a hoax by the Dems, that masks don't do anything, that the heat of April will kill it, that injecting poison into your body might be a solution and so on.

Do you understand how stupid this man is, yet?

The answer is yes. The pathetic part is that you are not troubled by it.

How many have to die before you question his abilities to govern?

Do you even care or is this all about politics to you?

Holy ***** Batman. I’m asking you if those who are refusing to wear masks would not be wearing them regardless who is President which is taking politics OUT of the conversation and you bring it right back to TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP!!

Simply put, every one of your points is a lie. When a person has to lie to try to make their point they're basically admitting that they don't have a point. Whenever your lies have been pointed out to you and proven to be not truthful you just ignore the facts and continue spewing yourshit.

I am sure more people would be wearing masks if Trump acted differently than saying there's no reason to be concerned.

Maybe you haven't seen the hundreds or thousands of videos of Trump supporters telling the cameras that wearing a mask is of no help or that it's all a conspiracy to discredit Trump.

Is it your contention that these Trump supporters are just inherently stupid?

That would be an indication of something else not very complimentary to the President.

These things didn't happen?

Sometimes I wonder if people can really be this stupid or if they are just lying because they can't deal with reality.

Quite frankly, no. Nobody I know experienced any of those things.

The first two were generally taken as a hopeful message to keep the public panic down - not some sort of guarantee.

He called their politicization of it a hoax. He did not call the virus a hoax. If he thought the virus was a hoax you know he would've called it the China Hoax and not the China virus.

Mask messaging was very mixed from February through June. Depending on what your goal is, they may not work. It's that simple. Judging past statements on present knowledge is a pretty futile exercise.

The heat of April is literally the same as the it will magically disappear. It was the same statement.

It was absolutely never suggested that anyone inject anything into themselves. There was a presentation about how certain cleaners are highly effective at eliminating the virus on surfaces and he commented that, while that is helpful, it'd be more helpful if it could eliminate the virus in people - and then opined that perhaps that would be via injection.

I think you have a caricature of what you think 'his followers' are that is as gullible as you. They aren't for the most part.

@Kemp says that anyone who doesn’t criticize every Trump utterance is a Trump supporter.  There is no middle ground or nuance. Further — and more important — @Kemp calls anyone who doesn’t agree with his views on Trump either stupid or evil.  There is no middle ground or nuance.

It is a completely fascist way of looking at the world and treating others. If he were in power, people who disagreed with him would be destined for re-education camps (for the stupid ones) or in jail (for the evil ones).

Masks don’t prevent the spread of virus’.

Not even surgical masks.  The mask manufacturers state this.

The mask requirements are in place in order to serve as a visual reminder that people should be terrified, and surrender their freedoms.

It’s a purely political issue.

To be fair, Kemp and all the other lefty ppp loonytoons are all mental midgets.

No deep thoughts just CNN straight to ppp.

There is no world where a leftist like Kemp -- who repeatedly advocates for more government control over everything he does -- understands or cares about personal choices. He's not interested in personal choices. He's interested in the government making choices for him.

When you're incapable of independent thought, personal choices are simple impossible. Kemp is Exhibit A.

...hmmmn....when you  look in the mirror and come to the realization that you have no ability to think for or provide for yourself, where do you turn?.......the Party of diapers, Depends, handouts, thinking on your behalf, coddling, nurturing, breast feeding et al, even toilet paper with assistance in a shortage?......did you miss the memo?.....

So,Trump did not suggest that doctors should look into injecting people with disinfectant?

Was the video of Trump saying this doctored?

When you heard Trump say this, you didn't immediately think it was one of the most stupid things you ever heard?

If a teenager said something like this, you wouldn't think they were unbelievably stupid?

Am I left to believe that YOU don't think that what Trump said was incredibly stupid?

He mentions, specifically towards the folks who just presented, that the disinfectant wipes [coronavirus] out in less than a minute [on surfaces]. He then says "And is there a way we can do something like that, uh, by injecting inside, or, or almost a cleaning?" And then goes on to talk about how it targets the lungs.

Do you comprehend how that question is not in any way a suggestion to inject anything? Even your response is a major backstep. You went from 'Trump supporters believed he thought injecting poison into your body was a solution' to 'he suggested doctors look into injecting people with disinfectant'. Now, when you look at the actual quote, what you find is that he saw the results that disinfectants can have on surfaces and asked the team to work with medical professionals to research ways to apply that to people instead of surfaces. The only way he could think of on the spot was injection, which is a silly proposition, before clarifying that he wanted them to find a method to clean the lungs in a manner that is as effective as disinfectant on surfaces. Most logical people saw that his train of thought was - it works great on surfaces, now how can we make it work great on people.

It's difficult to argue a point with someone who can't even tell the truth about something they can watch on video.

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump erroneously stated Monday that the Spanish Flu of 1918 ended World War II, incorrectly citing both the year the pandemic occurred and the year that the Second World War ended.

The events took place more than two decades apart.

"The closest thing is in 1917, they say, the great pandemic. It certainly was a terrible thing where they lost anywhere from 50 to 100 million people, probably ended the Second World War," Trump said. "All the soldiers were sick. That was a terrible situation."

That's pretty dumb, but I don't know what it has to do with my post...
