Which they see as neither fair..nor free.

So your excusing violence on their part because of a perceived unfairness.  Nice.

I’m going to assume you got into you parents liquor cabinet and disregard this foolishness.  In the alternative, please point out where I excused any violence whatsoever from the posters referenced, or in fact any violence at all perpetrated by anyone there.  Be specific—I want to be sure I correct the record.

I interpreted what you have said and recreated it as I understood it.

It's why suddenly, as if by magic, UNITY is buzzword because Biden was elected.  The only question is who is on the outside looking in.

Sorry friend, you voted for Biden. The rest is window dressing.

 You used a ton of words to rationalize whatever it is you feel, but jobs put money in people's pockets, growth is good, reasonable taxation is good, excessive taxation is bad.

Some of you who voted for Biden have become so accustomed to thinking the scraps they leave for you after stepping on your paycheck is awesome.  You morons (politically-speaking) lined up and voted (sometimes multiple times!) because Joe pitches that you're the victim, the rich man is taking advantage of you, and you need him to save you and it'll only cost you your pride and his hands on some poor girl's ass.

The country needs it.  Biden won because people know he won't change much economically as he's seen as a moderate but at least will put on the facade that he's a president for all Americans.  Trump for the most part always played to his base and it cost him reelection.  This would be a very good argument against Bernie Sanders though.

McConnell rejects aid package....just another step in the trump/ Republican revolution/coup. By early Jan trump will pressure him into a major plan for his people, deliver the vaccine and be able to March through Washington as the savior. Jan 20 and Biden is a date that may never occur.

At this point only 4 Republican election officials stand between him and a legal status of 270 votes and if they fail him all the other scenarios are in place

Hope I am wrong but momentum is growing and all the signs are there.

Cool.  My offer still stands—you said that I was “excusing acts of violence on their part”.  What acts of violence are you speaking of?  Who did what?  What specifically did I post that brought you to the conclusion that I excused the specific acts of violence you’re about to reveal to me?

Let’s get through this together. I can’t spell unity without u.

From me perspective, it's pretty simple:

-What reaction would be appropriate to a Kavanaugh-style public character assassination?   Let's assume Biden understands the difference between the Supreme Court and a Food Court when the time comes to appoint a justice?  In my opinion, there are two choices for the opposition party:

  • Submit, and focus on character and achievements; or
  • Follow precedent and launch an all-out assault to destroy the candidate;

History shows us that option 2 is the best course of action for the opposition.  Imo, when you (who also felt the man was mistreated) and Shoshy vote for Harris/Biden, you vote for that approach to SC management.

-With respect to impeachment, assuming the Rs were able to gain the majority, Biden's been in office for 40+ years.  There are two choices:

  • Let him reign for as long as his Depends stay dry, babbling like a drunken monkey and talking to his good friend Margaret Thatcher across the pond;
  • Dig, find the dirt or something that the average Biden hater might see as dirt, and impeach him;

Recent History shows option 2 is a crackerjack way to go.

-With respect to a Russia-style investigation:

  • As if on cue, as the Trump legal team moves along and Biden gets closer to Craft Day on the National Mall on Jan 20, we begin to see reports on his son's business activities in China.  More will follow, Joe will be tied to the shady deals, and decisions will have to be made.   The Rs have two options:
    • Let it go, move on, lick their wounds;
    • Start the process to uncover what needs to be uncovered, selectively leak details, generate public support and try to destroy Biden and his family;

That is a real string of false choices, as I suspect you know. And it makes for binary thinking that creates division.

Personally, I hope Biden fails.  I hope he fails miserably

That's rooting against America. When Trump gave his first speech as POTUS, I was cheered by it. It was his most unifying message. I linked it to my liberal friends who all hated me because I didn't vote for Clinton but I told them: "Listen to this guy. He's got the right message." That lasted about 30 seconds. I rooted for him. I still root for him here in the last few weeks. I want no American president to fail, even though some do in some ways.

It's the reality of the world we live in.  It's not the way I want it to be, it's not the way I saw it during the Obama years, but it's the way it is today.

No, it's not.  It's identifying the type of systemic career politico bs that leads to where we are today, recognizing the destructive nature of it, and rejecting it.  Biden is not America, Biden is a 5 decade dimwit who has vowed to finally get something accomplished. He was a willing participant in the Russia scheme, and as such is a co-conspirator in an attempt to steal my particular vote.  There are 15 other reasons to root against him--border security, tax plan, fracking, energy independence, the 'let's get someone to pay your loan because you're the victim for attending UCLA and taking spring break to Cancun', and his very murky relationship with China to name a few.

It's a reality as you chose to present it and as you choose to believe it. Big difference.

You want Biden to be a miserable failure. The only way to judge a president a failure is if America is worse off than it was 4 years ago.

I still don't think Trump has any intention of leaving the White House peacefully.

It goes against everything he and his brand stand for.

I hope he doesn't leave peacefully, it would add to his historic failure as president.

Yeah, Trump's challenge is officially over:

No coming back from the Supreme Court turning you away.

I still don't think he'll leave peacefully.

I think he'll push it to the limit and see what happens.

After 100+ GOP congress members signed onto this laughable lawsuit, I think he'll push into uncharted territory and see how the system responds.

It seems that the Trump plan now is to go full steam ahead on attacking the Biden family.  If by Inauguration Day, I believe the new plan goes, Joe Biden can be ‘proven’ to be a criminal, Trump will be obliged to delay the transition of power.  Never mind that anything at that point could be no more than accusation, that will be plenty enough for the MAGA crew to cling to.  Just guessing but seems to be plausible

With the Texas GOP threatening to leave the Union, can we now consider the Republicans the party of snowflakes?

Man, they get their butt stomped in one election and all they do is cry.

I like the term GOProjection where they try to project everything they are on to the Democrats but man between snowflakes and how everyone in that party is just a beta to Trump it’s really apt.

I don’t see it as indicative of a party problem. He’s just a guy without enough honor to even honor a silly message board bet. A spineless show of “character.”

Jim offered the bet. I don’t think the other guy accepted. That one is just funny.

Actually I offered the original bet to Chef Jim.

He's a coward just like the rest of the Trump fans here, much like their cult leader.

In the end he'll leave because he doesn't want images of himself being led away in handcuffs, but only after he resigns and gets a pardon from President Pence.

There's a chance he tries to pardon himself. I hope he does because that might set off a chain of reactions that would be fun to watch.

I don't care that he's played a role in dismantling the Republican Party by exposing them as seditionists, but the damage to the country I do mind.

He would rather destroy America than admit he lost. He is without question the single worst human being to ever hold office in the United States.

The scariest part is that he has brought to light just how many people are some combination of evil and stupid.
