USA is looking bad because of him and his supporters When he did stop travel from China, Pelosi, DeBlazio, Cuomo and others called it racist, held a hug a Chinese day, and told folks to go to parades. And as a bonus they didnt clean the subways! And seeing as they knew by March 10 the average age of death in Italy was 85 years old, they absolutely did all they could to protect the vulnerable, right? The president's job during a pandemic is literally almost nothing. Pandemics are handled at the local level and they get any federal help they need. Has any governor said the President has failed them?

Huh, I don't seem to remember her objecting to gatherings because of the virus when she was welcoming people to riot in DC. Kinda funny how the 'science' is pretty malleable, depending on political objectives. 2

SoTier Posted July 6, 2020 Author Posted July 6, 2020 According to Trump, "99% of Covid-19 cases are harmless" despite soaring hospitalization rates threatening to overwhelm health care systems in several states including Texas and Florida. The families of the 129,576 victims of Covid-19 might also disagree.

That mean around 99.74% of coronavirus cases are not fatal. Unfortunately for those victims, they were in the 0.26%. I guess Trump could have been more precise and said 99.74% of cases are not fatal, but most people with a brain got the point. 1

Trust me, the math of this is simply lost on people. Almost 8,000 people die ever day in America....of those, only 250 died with (or of) Covid 19 yesterday. Hardly a crisis anymore!

They should have either let the herd immunity thing flow, or take the Wuhan seriously. They are half-assing both. To you 3rdnlng, wouldn't it have been better if Trump actually called out the states doing what they want? He called out the liberal states, who wanted to remain closed, and said they were trying to crash the economy. His leadership has been pathetic during this pandemic. It is inarguable. Why not demand Governors form all 50 states meet, if your so determined to place blame on them, for any of the fallout, if bad? Sorry, man. Federal and state governments need to work together to fight a pandemic. Trump exhibited NO leadershop skill, and is still blaming high number on high testing. Loved his rally, and loved the liberal governors and mayor encouraging protests and riots... The EU banned Americans because of our leadership, or serious lack thereof. They can't get together on normal every day things what makes any of us think that Pelosi & the gang will try to make anything easy on the Pres. to this point they have tried to go against anything & everything he does to try to make him look bad no matter the cost so why would this be any different and why would he ask for their help ? After so many times of bashing your head against a wall that s**t starts to hurt so you finally say screw it i'm not getting any help anyway so ill try it with out them I can't say i blame him . Even if he does something good someone will make up some other BS so why not ? The spike in cases is all about his campaign thing in OK. and opening the economy so it won't completely send the nation into a full blown depression has nothing at all to do with peoples individual ignorants going out with no masks in tight public ares not to mention the protests see how it works no blame there . Like always it's the Pres. it can't be anything else ...

Oh, and Trump *IS* a racist - and that’s probably why you Trumpholes support him.

I guess Trump could have been more precise and said 99.74% of cases are not fatal, but most people with a brain got the point. The last time I looked, 1% of 3 million -- nearly the number of confirmed covid-19 cases in the US as of today -- is 30,000. There have currently been more than 130,000 deaths from Covid-19 in the US for a death rate of about 4.4%, which is a much higher death rate than in several European and Asian countries. You might look up exactly what IFR -- infection fatality rate -- means before you use it. It's a ratio that uses estimates of the number of undiagnosed cases as well as actually diagnosed cases to measure the severity of an infectious disease. It does NOT mean that only x of diagnosed cases are likely to result in death. Most importantly, "harm" is not a synonym for "death". That's only the worst outcome. About 20% of individuals who test positive for Covid-19 end up in the hospital. About 20% of hospitalized individuals end up in the ICU. Several studies of asymptomatic Covid-19 victims has shown a significant percentage suffer lung damage similar to that of "walking pneumonia". Many individuals who contract Covid-19, even younger people, take weeks or months to recover. Pregnant women who contract Covid-19 are likely to end up in the ICU. The good news is that Covid-19 does not seem to spread in utero, so babies can be born virus free. Most rational people who have half a brain recognize that Covid Donnie and his sycophants inhabit an alternative universe. 1
