I am just trying to paint a realistic situation and again, I think that ultimately, the public will suffer more than police officers will. The entire situation just sucks. Cops can look forward to guarding church parking lots for 8-12 hours, only responding to dispatches, never going above the speed limit even to a hot call. Policing basically disappears in rural areas this way. Literally no reason to run code at all with the way things are trending. Warrant with a guy's name and address on it? Not hitting the house, name might be wrong, address might be wrong. Traffic stop, guy comes back with a warrant. Not making that arrest. That warrant might have been served already, and there's no sense in waiting for ORI to confirm because if for some reason it's been served and they forgot to clear it then suddenly it's an unreasonable amount of time because hey, no warrant. No foot chases, no car chases; can't take that risk. And that's for the probably ~50% of cops that'll actually stay on after you open them up individually to lawsuits. 1 1

Period. I think we all know the answer, so it’s pretty hypocritical to pick and choose when it’s okay. He’s a hateful little person. He has Napoleon syndrome and acts like he is some alpha male. I would never act his race, religion (unless he was a complete hypocrite like a some religious people are), sexual identity, etc. if he was a non hateful, judgemental person would I make fun of him for not being to ride all the rides at Disney world? Of course not. our “leader” whole “political” platform has been attacking and belittling people. When you use your platform for that and live in double standards, you are going to catch shrapnel. Some people love to dish it out but can’t take it.

Bill, you are a former police officer correct? I really respect your passion and even though we have had disagreements, you are always respectful and never get person. I have a lot of respect for you and your profession. the majority of cops are great at their jobs and are heroic. However, let’s not pretend every cop is a hero. Some are the high school bully who loved having power. The are the losers putting a guy selling cigarettes in a choke hold. I believe in LA, it takes 1,000 less training hours to be an officer than a cosmetologist. That’s absolutely insane. Getting rid of police is idiotic. And being a police officer is an extremely difficult job. But that’s why it should be the best of the best. You can’t have morons who think they are in their apartment shoot a guy because they are on the wrong floor. Good cops = heroes. But there are zero instances where an EMT should get killed in her own house and face zero accountability. They need to be much better. Respectfully. 2

Why would you not believe her?

I didn't know you were ex-police but — one of the reasons it is difficult to take cops at their word on anything anymore is — in addition to all of these brutal videos — there's all the small little things that we all just kind of let go with cops. Small things. Like, cops running red lights. Double parking. Whatever. There's all kinds of little things we've all seen cops do to skirt the rules and act above the law. It informs the overall impression that that's how cops feel, in general — above the law.

I don't know anything about her, or this case, and frankly I doubt if you do either. Were there any witnesses? How was this case decided and by who? Does she have a good or poor disciplinary record? Any psych referrals? Was there an arbitrator? A judge? Even the person who was arrested is/was a potential witness. In summary, I repeat; I do not automatically disbelieve her but I think to jump on her side not knowing what happened would also be a big mistake. 9 minutes ago, GregPersons said: I didn't know you were ex-police but — one of the reasons it is difficult to take cops at their word on anything anymore is — in addition to all of these brutal videos — there's all the small little things that we all just kind of let go with cops. What is more plausible? A black female police officer getting fired for intervening to stop a white police officer from using a choke hold on a black person being arrested specificallyrelated to putting her fellow officers at risk. Or a 19 year veteran was so bad that she was not fired in the previous 19 years. I will take her word. I went back and read the report. The classic line of she would no longer have the trust of her fellow officers is plain as day. She broke the code, possibly prevented another fatality, and lost her job for it. 1

I don’t know that I’d call myself a fan, but I do listen on occasion because he’s extremely intelligent and has a unique perspective. And again, it isn’t about him per se. It’s the criticism of someone’s physical appearance when they have no control over it; that’s no more appropriate than criticizing someone for their skin color. As to Fromm, in a timing based offense he can be effective; for how long I’m not sure.

I speak from experience when I say that midget jokes start out as just that, but it isn’t so funny when people almost twice your size are pinning you down so that others can take turns punching you in the privates. So while that stuff may not be as prevalent or generational as racism, they’re cut from the same cloth. Be glad you got hitched before dating moved to Tinder and Bumble. *Trigger Warning*: Every girl has a 6'0" or taller requirement. Dudes like him, who take themselves so serious, are the problem. If he could laugh at himself, he would be likable. But people weren’t forced into slavery because they were short. You didn’t have to use different bathrooms or sit in the back of the bus. Asians weren’t put into internment camps because they were little. Native Americans weren’t forced to walk the trail of tears because of their size. With all due respect, I think that’s a terrible comparison. And if you are a guy you goes around trying to divide people, people are going to come back at him. He may be extremely “intelligent “ (that makes all of his double standards even worse then) but I still backing him down in the paint and getting crazy buckets on that little guy. And I watched Fromm since the show QB1. He seems like the definition of the guy who peaked in college (he had a nice career) but will be new Jeff Tuel/ Peterman where he will have a nice preseason drive, some fans will get super excited, and then he plays a full game and you realize why he went in the 5th. 7 minutes ago, Jauronimo said: Be glad you got hitched before dating moved to Tinder and Bumble. *Trigger Warning*: Every girl has a 6'0" or taller requirement. I see, so the barometer by which we judge whether or not insulting someone’s appearance is okay is whether or not a wide swathe of the population suffers from it? Guess I’m really struggling to see how there isn’t a huge cognitive dissonance occurring here Edited June 12, 2020 by thebandit27
