"Respecting the flag" continues to be an empty talking point which was invented and used to avoid uncomfortable discussion for the actual reasons of Kaepernick's protest.

Everyone has the right to be wildly incorrect.  I don't know why so many choose to exercise it.

You're welcome to argue why kneeling during the anthem is inherently disrespectful. You're welcome to argue Kaepernick's intent was to disrespect the flag.  You're welcome to argue why the Green Beret who recommended kneeling as a respectful form of protest is wrong and hates America and all that it stands for but you won't be anymore successful than all of the people who tried the same in this thread.

That was not an intelligent comment. You are not an all knowing being. You are just some guy on a message board with a screen name of Jauronimo. People are not automatically incorrect because they disagree with your comments.

What makes it worse is that you probably toe the line on each and every issue. An original thought would suit you well.

Have a wonderful day!

Thanks for the suggestion. Could you even begin to imagine what I suggest that you could do?

What Fromm and Brees said is mild to what Biden has said numerous times. Why is Biden given a pass?

I don't Condon racism, but I don't believe what Brees said was racist. Fromm, that's another story. He's young and I hope he learns from it.

Fromm is a fairly young kid that said something really stupid.  His relative youth should not be a shield to excuse it, rather it should emphasize the need for him to keep quiet and lean from his mistakes.  Leaders in the clubhouse, or guys like Zo who are still associated with the team, will no doubt sit down with the kid and explain why his comments were so stupid.  And he'll learn or he won't.  If he doesn't his football career is over.

Nice cop out, Bill.  Why don't you stick to crusading about defensive backs and diagnosing strangers with mental illness for having the audacity to protest.

Here are some original thoughts for you: "I support the flag", "I support our police", and "I support the troops".  I bet that gives you a semi.  Drink it up, Bill. Drink it up!

What exactly does this prove again?

It proves about as much as this gibberish:

Yup, its empty to people who hold it as a symbol with deep meaning.

But if we say it stands for racial injustice that absolutely must be acknowledged.

No double standard.

I've read this 30 times and it still makes no sense.  At least it was funny before you edited "simple" to "symbol".

What are you struggling with? And a typo is all you can reference?

The flag holds meaning to people, you want to dismiss that to be woke, that's fine. You want to dismiss the flag as something that symbolizes racial injustice, thats fine, but there is nothing that proves that. You can't prove it, you can't back it up.

No matter how dismissive, gross, or derisive your comments are, people are not forced to agree with you. People shouldn't be forced to agree with anyone, even robotic simps who are incapable of an original thought.

No one is dismissing the importance of the flag and I have NEVER said the flag is a symbol of injustice.  This is a strawman argument created by you to prove god knows what.  Its a similar strawman that was used to dismiss Kaepernick.   If you can label his protest "disrespectful to the flag" it can be summarily dismissed.  Good luck proving the act of kneeling during the anthem is inherently disrespectful to the flag.

And its not just the typo.  Its the whole semantics of your statement.  What is the "it" in your opening sentence because if its the same "it" as in the post you quoted, you're referring to the talking point of "disrespecting the flag" which makes no sense.  If the "it" is the flag, then your post still makes no sense.  To summarize, you have a total non-sequitur, a strawman, and a conclusion of a double standard on someone's part.  Pure gibberish.

Daryl Davis would strongly disagree with this extremely narrow-minded logic.

LOL!  Sure.  No one can ever change.

Never mind that he never mentioned "black people" specifically, said he doesn't even belong to this supposed group of his, and silencers don't actually kill people.

Do yourself a favor and listen to Lorenzo Alexander again.
