They have a point on Mosley, though. He was flying all over the field making plays for them. I think it did play a factor in the Bills coming back.

He was on the field for the Bills moving the ball at will too.

You realize that they don't face each other on the field, right? Allen doesn't face Darnold, he faces the Jets defense. You think the fact that they are friends means he doesn't play as hard against the Jets defense?

If Allen and Darnold both reach their potential then this will be a Kelly/Marino situation all over again. Jim and Dan were/are good friends but both were competitive as hell. It made for some great Bills-Dolphins games. Maybe the same happens with the Bills-Jets.

They're right.  If Darnold and Mosley both played (a full game), Jets would have won.

But it's a mute point, now.

Darnold did play a full game.

Memory's failing you there, pops.

Agreed. I don't know a ton about Darnold, but anyone questioning Allen's competitive fire needs to pay closer attention.

The Jets starters vs. the Bills starters were about even maybe slightly in favor of the Bills. But the Jets built a top heavy team in 2019 susceptible to injuries due to lack of depth. The Bills roster was built to be deep on both lines and have a lot of roster flexibility. The Jets sustained a few key injuries and their team fell apart. That's poor roster construction in the NFL esp when you have a QB on a rookie deal.

And if Josh Allen had not been knocked out of the first Pats game with a questionable head shot, we likely would have been 4-0 after week 4.

Yep - he just wasn't on the field for the 4 singletary carries in that game.  So obviously him being there means he stops him on all of them.

That and they wasted a ton of money on Bell, who didn't play the year before and was adequately replaced by conner and samuels.

The Jets had a lot of top heavy signings which resulted in a top heavy roster. A roster that was susceptible to injuries. Any amount of injuries can overwhelm a team. However had the Jets been deeper they would have been able to withstand the injuries they did have better and maybe not put themselves in as deep of a hole as they did. I think the Bills had only 2 signings that were 9 million aav or more (Mitch and Brown) whereas the Jets had something like 5-6 in the 2019 off-season.

Yes.... the Jets won the turnover battle 4-0 and still lost the game.... it’s really incredible. The Bills offense moved the ball up and down the field for most of the day. Problem was they would often shoot themselves in the foot with somewhat flukey turnovers. The INT returned for a TD by Mosley was a low throw but should’ve been caught by Beasley and a tipped pass at the LOS that was also intercepted.

At halftime I was thinking both teams sucked. When the game ended I thought the Bills snapped out of it and found a way to win the game and the Jets were the same old Jets.

And even if not caught by Beasley, it should not have been served up like a volleyball prepared for a spike, directly to the center of the field

The game where he was 13-28 with 0 TDs and 3 INTs and a fumble?  Probably not.

He was driving them into the red zone when the pats headhunted him.

So yeah, probably yeah they would have.

Yeah - the announcers tried to put that one on josh... yes, it was low but it should have absolutely been caught, and it was thrown to keep beasley away from the defender.

Not to mention he'd just driven them down to the goal line and run it in on an earlier drive yeah the momentum was shifting.

I'd also agree that throw should be low, Beasley had his feet planted and had 3 defenders converging within 6 yards of him or so. Sit him down there. In no world should a pass that is off the mark by the length of a forearm be blamed for it ending up a pick 15 feet away like it was at the time. NFL QBs miss throws by a foot all the time and most of the time (including with Cole) those misses are unnoticed, because receivers are professionals too. The Jets just got really, really lucky that day in a way that no other Bills opponent saw all season long. And they still lost, because they blow

How dare you argue with a stat line supported by zero context?

Without that hit, it would have been 3rd and 18 from the Buffalo 46.  Allen may have played the worst game I’ve seen a QB play since Peterman’s debacle.  If Josh had another quarter, he may have surpassed that.   (The link to the condensed version of the game is below).  The first quarter was absolutely the worst display of QBing I’ve ever seen, bar none.  I challenge anyone to watch it again and say otherwise.

That game wound up costing me a lot of money.  I remember it well.  He was missing receivers by yards on swing passes, deep balls, and sideline routes.  He took horrific sacks where he looked completely lost on the field.  He fumbled twice (one was waived off because of a penalty).  It was abysmal.

Jets: #3 playoff drought in the NFL - 9 seasons.

Their drought hasn't even hit puberty yet. Child's play.
