I'm pretty certain that alcohol is the primary reason many fans go to the games. This is a gut punch to those fans.

On the contrary, it makes a lot of sense, is probably  inevitable for sports events next year.

 

Alcohol lowers our inhibitions, and the more we drink the more it lowers them. 

 

Hard to imagine thousands of people with a buzz, or drunk, paying attention to our new culture's standards, where social distancing  and other mitigation efforts are essential (for a while).

Aren’t they just referring to alcohol at the actual game? This wouldnt really alter my experience at all. I catch a real solid buzz before I head in and usually just let it ride.
