I'm very happy we drafted a kicker, but I think the point should have been to get someone with a big leg. This guy has a long of 50 yards and is less than 80% on all field goals. I don't get it.

He has a much bigger leg than that stat. Go watch the videos from the Senior Bowl.

at what Position is the sixth round pick not a crapshoot?

I should re-phrase. It’s not the draft pick I am worried about, it’s just going into the season with a rookie kicker. there’s going to be a lot of risk with that if we end up keeping Bass over Haush. Is he going to mentally hold up?

Right after the long snapper, it’s coming!

Odd draft, this one.

A long of 50 yards does not make me swoon in our winds.

How about my winds ?

but not this guy.  Check out the NFL writeup.  Has trouble kicking from over 50 yards, even more concerning, trouble in "inclement weather."

He will not beat Houshaka.  He is only a kickoff specialist.

Awful pick with Mann (P) still on board, as well as CB, DBs, and other kickers.

Wow, it’s almost like the Bills are drafting based on research beyond the NFL write up.

With the struggles with kickers all around the league, perhaps someone will trade for Hauschka?

Surely there is no more indication of a struggle with a kicker than drafting the 1st kicker off the board in the 6th round?

Camp leg. If he beats out the incumbent so be it. If not, maybe expanded practice squad for some development.

Teams don’t usually spend draft capital on a kicker just  expecting him to be a camp leg. I’d say at this point, it’s his job to lose to Hauschka.

I like it. I’d like a punter too. If the Bills are going to play close games they need to tighten up the special teams play. Bass is good and could take the job.

Hopefully, with our new weapons and Josh’ improvement, most games won’t be close. But....let’s prepare for it just in case! ?

I don't understand the question.

There is no such thing as an awful pick in the 6th round. Let’s not pretend there’s all these special gems sitting out there. Especially when you base your opinion on a “nfl write up”

"bass your opinion"
