JoeF Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 Damaged goods??? Doesn't sound promising...although he was the reason that Gandy was cut...
turftoe Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 If they are keeping Ruben Brown in place of him that says something.
Arkady Renko Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 That he is near being a dominant Pro-Bowler?!!
Rubes Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 I'm hoping we can find a few more Tuckers for our O-line. We could have some fun with that.

Tucker, Rex G, Chicago Bears Tucker, Ross G, Buffalo Bills Tucker, Ryan T, Cleveland Browns Tucker, Torrin T, Dallas Cowboys that's 4/5 of our line right there

BuffaloBorn1960 Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 Don't use the word "tucker" around Mike Williams.... Those from downunder will understand.

drnykterstein Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 He's rated an 89 in madden, I usually get him on my team and he does a solid job for me. So with that said, I say pick him up. for those of you to stupid to know this (and I know you're out there) - that was a joke
BillsWatch Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 If they are keeping Ruben Brown in place of him that says something. 308208[/snapback] Yes Ruben is overrated and badmouthed by some Bills fans but is still a good guard.
Happy Days Lois & Clark Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 To my knowledge he was a very promising young player with probowl potentiaql before he got injured. He may have been injured in back to back years but I'm not sure. I think he playes right tackle & guard but might have had potential to move to left tackle I think he had a pretty big contract with the Bears How good he still is may depend on how his injuries affected his play I think the Bills & their doctors should check him out
Coach Tuesday Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 John Tucker was a great goal scorer in his day - one of the best wrist-shots ever.
The Jokeman Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 He gave up 5.50 sacks in 6 games last season per Stats Inc prior to that his numbers looked good. Here's a blurb from his CNNSI Predraft Bio Selected by Chicago Bears in round 3, pick 5 (#66 overall) Ht Wt 40 BP SS LS VJ BJ Grade 6'5" 303 5.13 27 4.44 - 30.0 8'10" 5.47 He is the brother of Ram's OL Ryan Tucker. He is a solid football player with a positive upside. He can play OT, OG and OC and he got a long look at LOT in the Senior Bowl. He has excellent overall athletic ability for a big man and he shows good short range, balance and feet. He needs a little work on pass protection, but he should be able to develop in that area. He will also need to add a little bulk and strength as he can have some problems with a power DL. However, he has enough AA to be an interesting developmental type prospect. - I'd personally pass especially with the injury history and us seemingly settled at OG with Villarrial, Anderson, Tucker and L. Smith or Bannan on the short list.

"Hold that tiger"
