Utah John Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Is this like asking if it means the same thing to win the AFCE after Tom Brady has left? The answer is, either way, we won and that's that.
Doc Brown Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 I'd pry enjoy it for a few days before worrying about who we should resign and seeing who could slip to #32 in the draft. I've always wondered if Red Sox or Cubs fans feel like a part of their identity was stolen when they won the World Series after all those years.
CSBill Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Just fine! What's the alternative, another season of nothing?
Giuseppe Tognarelli Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Yeah, it would be different. I'd still feel like we need to win a regular one. It would be pretty Billsy.
May Day 10 Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Shortened season is fine If it's a studio-only season with no fans... then it will kind of stink.
Captain Hindsight Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Ok what about this? Say they were playing the Bears in the Super Bowl, but instead of Mack on the edge, it was an actual bear. Does the win still count?
thronethinker Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 (edited) This would have the perfect season for a player strike. At least from the fans perspective. Edited April 22, 2020 by thronethinker
skibum Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Assuming it would be the first in a long run of Bills Super Bowl triumphs, I don't think it will matter much in the long run.
SoCal Deek Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 26 minutes ago, Chicharito said: As long as we can still have a parade! You beat me to it! With everyone standing six feet apart the parade route would stretch deep into Canada!
wiseman3 Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 A shortened season wouldn't be what makes me feel different, its would be the potential for games with no fans (especially playoffs and super bowl). I just can't imagine feeling the same level of excitement watching a totally empty, quiet Super Bowl. Just wouldn't be the same
WhoTom Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 It's the same season for every team, so I'd have no problem with it.
F.W. Cyclone Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Not unless the Lombardi trophy was made from tin
Formerly Allan in MD Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 When you win the Super Bowl, should you feel bad?
Antonio Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 It would not feel the same but.... someone has to win it so it might as well be us.
Charles Romes Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 After 100 seasons (both sports) without a title you gladly take it whatever way you can get it. 2
