With a Quadrajet, or with the abomination shown above?  Rochesters metered fuel, Holleys dumped it.

Remember Cinemax's soft core porn "Friday After Dark"

International Cable (then Adelphia, etc). My friend was one of yje first families to have cable. They had  free HBO offer for a month.  The company never turned it off for about 20 years.  On that channell after HBO went off at like 1 AM, International would start showing a hard R-rated movie Then a harder R and then at about 4-4:30 a soft X. My neighbor who just retired a year or so ago from them  verified this for me.

I worked at the cable companies head end in those days ... my most important jobs were making sure the Spice channel was scrambled when it came on at 9p and removing snow from all the satellite dishes

Boy was that fancy and hi-tech coming from this  (btw....can anyone under the age of 50 identify what the second dial was for?):

TV before cable. One dial for channels 2-13, one dial for UHF ...

I'm 42, the top dial was for VHF channels and the bottom dial was for UHF.

I saw one of these not long ago, as in within the last 6 months outside the bathroom of a fairly decent restaurant.  Fully stocked with modern prices so it wasn't just a nostalgia piece.  I would have sworn they were illegal and all but extinct.  Also, who the hell carries around 7 bucks in quarters?

My dad had one that wasn't this fancy for awhile. It was more like the one below.

How about this?

York Steak House. Every Saturday. Summit Park Mall, Niagara Falls ...

We went to the one at Summit Park Mall which isn't really a thing anymore either

Anything is better then the junk that came on the 90s Jeep YJs with the 4.2l

They were the originals in having the new fuel saving engine shutoffs at stop lights. Mine would stall every single time I stopped at a light or stop sign.....

For us really old Buffalonians, and especially us in Niagara Falls with antenna TV, the Baby Blue movie on CITY out of Toronto was must see TV at sleepovers

Most of us went the Sparkomatics from KMart! They really sounded as good as the triax, but at 1/3rd the price!

 4-Barrel

Your Toyota hasn't seen one of these in 25 years!

True...Same with the Jeep.  But throttle body is a cross between fuel injection and a carburetor.

My wife is a library director.  She phased the card catalog out in the late 1990s.  One of them is sitting in my basement as an organizer for tools and parts.

That I don't know. I'm not a mechanic (shadetree or otherwise) but I know a carb when I see one (engine or otherwise ? ) . I just remember reading the engine specs and it was a 350 with a 4-barrel carb.
