707BillsFan Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Just before the lockdown, we were in Vegas... stayed at the Mandalay Bay. Our room had a view of the new stadium. Yes, it was pretty nice. Real bad sponsor for naming rights though. Horrible airline...will they even survive the "purge?"
1st Ammendment NoMas Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 It is cool. I went to Vegas a lot for work over the last 2 years so it's cool to see it from inception to completion. When the Bills play there, I will definitely hit it up. 1
BobbyC81 Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 The black is definitely appropriate for the Raiders but could use some silver.
Lurker Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 A black stadium in the middle of the desert. That's got to be energy efficient. Probably drop the Colorado River an inch for each home game... 4 2
Saxum Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 They should add silver by adding solar panels to collect electricity.
BruceVilanch Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 I flew Allegiant once out of Vegas back to Portland, never again. We were stuck on the tarmac in July with no AC for several hours while they got the "Back up plane" ready.

In California, public officials are starting to say there will no fans or even sports allowed until Thanksgiving, at the earliest. Edited April 9, 2020 by The Fiend
Prospector Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 This stadium is ridiculously awesome. Being a Vegas native and driving by it on a weekly basis, along with a couple tours inside... holy guacamole, you guys need to make plans to come see this wonder! Go Bills, and Go Raiders!... but go Bills first
First Round Bust Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 yeah a bunch of us are planning a road trip to Vegas upcoming season, expecting a lot of Bills fans to make the pilgrimage and check out the ice cream parlors, bingo halls and churches 2
UConn James Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Really does look like a giant Roomba. Maybe that company could become the stadium sponsor if/when alliegent fails. 2 1
machine gun kelly Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Funny the reporter calling it the Death Star. I thought that was reserved the Evil Empire that is Foxborough. At least Vader is gone and we only have the Emperor left (BB)
DrDawkinstein Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Quote The stadium is expected to cost about $1.9 billion to build, with the Raiders putting up $1.1 billion and public funding of about $750 million making up the rest. Take note, Terry.

As long as Allegiant is handing over millions of dollars a year, Davis will be happy. If Allegiant goes belly up, there will be any number of companies fighting over whose name goes on the stadium next.
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Anyone else excited for the MSG sphere? I'm not sure why I'd ever go there, i just think it looks neat.

For some perspective, New Era pays the Bills $5M/year 1
