At least we're not the Falcons

I like em, especially the Deion throwbacks.

The "ATL" is a key part. How many cities are known by 3 letters? Not many.

Other than that, a lot of strong feelings about fashion in this thread.

Tons of cities are known by 3 letters because of airport codes.

Hahaha, that dont count unless youre a baggage handler

Or if you fly all the time like a lot of people do. Plus in football all of the teams are known by 2-3 letters and many correspond to their cities.

Almost every NFL city has been shortened to 3 letters in some fashion in order to fit in those old CBS/FOX scoreboards.

ATL, BUF, CLE, DET, DAL, SEA, MIA, BAL, HOU, etc.

Not to mention: NYC.

Also the uniforms are ugly.  But the throwbacks are sweet.

The owners in the NFL need to stop trying to fix things that arent broken.   It would also help if they stuck to being the NFL and stopped trying to be the NBA.

These are awful, awful jerseys.   The new numbers and ATL are a joke.

Feeble attempt to copy NBA

As one who does not watch the NBA, what is being copied from them?

Yeah, but it isnt part of the identity like it is to a lot of folks in Atlanta.

No one in any of those other cities refers to their town as the "B-U-F" or "D-A-L" or "H-O-U". I'll give you NYC, but like I said "not many", that's 2.

Here in the city, it isnt "hotlanta", it's "The A-T-L".

They look like Pop Warner uniforms. I don't like when team use abbreviations on jerseys, like ATL or when the NBA Sixers use PHILA. Imagine if ours just said BUF, that'd be awful.

To be fair, Atlanta is literally known as ATL. I don't think people really walk around saying "Welcome to the Buf."

It still looks gross on these jerseys though.

You don't have to like them, but saying they are the worst of all time is just not anywhere close to true.

In fact I'd say our uniforms from 2002 to 2010 were worse, especially the hideous away versions with the strange box around the collar and shoulders.

IMO... our home jersey's were better during that time, but the away's were worse

Did the Giants or Jets put NYC on the front of their jerseys in big ass oversized font?

That's not the point, and so what if they did or didnt?

You guys can hate them all you want and be in your feelings about some other team's fashion. So far, from the response on local sports radio this morning, they are well received by the home town because people here identify with them.
