Buffalo Barbarian Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 UFC President Dana White will reportedly hold UFC 249 at the Tachi Palace Casino Resort in Central California on land "belonging to the Tachi-Yokut Tribe, part of the federally recognized Santa Rosa Indian Community," according to Kevin Draper of the New York Times. Per that report, the location is an "end run around widespread federal and state guidelines against holding large gatherings during the coronavirus pandemic, according to three people familiar with the decision." https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2885586-ufc-249-reportedly-will-take-place-on-california-tribal-land-amid-covid-19

Says he "secured" an island, not bought. Reading comprehension.
Justin C Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 The WWE is doing events at their Performance Center. No audience. AEW taped a bunch of stuff last week to fill a month or two of TV as well in front of no audience. Both are performing temperature checks and other wellness checks before they are allowed to perform, and isolating wrestlers in a hotel while in town. That's why their were changes to the Wrestlemania card. As a life long WWE fan I wouldn't mind if they take time off, but have no problem with them continuing if they are monitoring for sickness beforehand.

DrDawkinstein Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 No audience tho, so that's all that really matters. The fighters/wrestlers already get paid to put their health at risk, so a virus is no biggie.
