Well, Paradise has already been linked, Clay Pigeons hasn't, guess that's what I'll go with

Never realized Roger Ebert discovered him  until today. Been listening to his music all day. RIP.

I listened to a bunch of songs Tuesday night. You might enjoy this article:

One of my favorite verses (Donald & Lydia):
But dreaming just comes natural
Like the first breath from a baby,
Like sunshine feeding daisies,
Like the love hidden deep in your heart.

Gotta admit, it took me some time to figure out what Happy Enchilada meant.

How ya doing, Simon?

Nice piece by Jason Isbell about his friend John Prine.

This week, John Prine danced off this stage and onto the next one, and I like to think he’s somewhere sharing a song and a cocktail with all the friends he outlived.

Very moving. Thanks.

Not bad, boss.

Snuck in some travel right before the lockdown and now on enforced vacation so I can't complain (but sometimes I still do).

You still in FLA? I was just monkeying around down on the Gulf Coast before Covid drove me home.

Still here in St Augustine. As I'm a (very low level) IT guy I guess I'm "essential".  But I'm basically only doing remote, or pickup and return, work. Typically I do most of my work on-site. So needless to say things are pretty slow. Still clients call me constantly and I help them if I can. Wonder if I'll see any payment for this work?

Hope you are finding ways to keep busy.

This is where I got to spend many of my formulative years.  Got to lean on many of the trees in this video, in the hope that they would keep me upright when I needed them most.  This was filmed a few years before my time, and it'll maybe bore the socks off the less patient crowd, but I did get to grow up, with these trees, and this particular songwriter who was one of the majors who introduced me to being something greater or smaller than I was at the time.

How anyone can still have a cavalier attitude toward infecting our elders is beyond me.  We lost a gem of a man here

Where is this particular Strawberry (Park, I'm guessing)?  I initially thought it might be CT, as they have a Strawberry Park Bluegrass Festival, but those trees look like west coast.

Traditionally at Yosemite (Camp Mather).... yes, I saw Prine 5 or 6 times there.  Due to a huge fire about 6 years ago it's now in another Sierra Nevada location.

He'd do a main stage performance, then a workshop the following day.

Thanks. Wish I could have been to one of them. I love Yosemite. Only been there a couple times.
