what a cute pithy comment. Why not ask service people what THEY think about their commander and chief saying something like that about an ex service member POW. They are who matter in this discussion not a keyboard warrior judgmental know it all like yourself.

I have. Many times.

They agree with him because, unlike you, they know exactly who No Name was and what he stood for.

You don't. Because you'd rather keep to proper decorum than learn the truth.

Classic.

If people want to kill mass numbers of other people, there are ways to go about it without guns.

And I don't know if I think anyone really needs even a semi-automatic gun and I think that background checks should be done, but won't root-out everyone.  I'm just wondering how far we should go to keep society safe?

Para 1.  Definitely.  Certain guns, however, still are an effective, convenient, and frankly preferred method.

Para 2.  For me, reinstituting assault weapons ban is the way to go.  But this is an impossible problem, and I'm not sure it possible to give a great answer.

Re-instituting something that did nothing to stop gun violence is the way to go ... to prevent gun violence.

Dynamite logic.

From this comment I feel you think the Military service members do not support our president. I am wondering why you think they do not?

Because he gets his information from the media rather than actual sources.

There you go again with your fake news and hoaxes.  No facts or data to support your position.

Out of curiosity, what is your profession if you don't mind?

The assault weapon ban did not end gun violence in any statistically significant manner.

You're wrong.

Again.

All the way.

But please, tell us how you want to go back to old policies, which didn't work, to combat your fear of an inanimate object.

Attorney and writer.  The law stuff pays better than the other endeavors.

Quite honestly I'm here because I miss the give and take of the profession and I'm trying to cut my teeth arguing with a different group of people with different insights and compasses than I would normally spar with.  I guess that's why I came here in the first place yesterday.  Today it's more amusement than anything else.

So yeah, you're kind of guinea pigs.  But it's harder to argue with people who are unpredictable, and that's what's happened here.  So I'm learning a lot and it's been an instructive couple of days.  Maybe I'll be better for the investment of time.  At least that was the idea.  Gotta make the best of a lousy situation and try to learn something.

More fakey newsy here. It should be easy to prove that I'm wrong.  But apparently you'd rather try to perpetrate a hoax here.

Still running from logic. Still pushing fear. Still protecting those who are enemies of humanity because he's too stupid and programmed to know better.

Oops. From the ultra right leaning LA Times no less.

Again, keep pushing ignorance and fear of an inanimate object as if you're the smartest guy in the room. Then run away from your words, change screen names (again) and try it all again.

Sad person, who's pushing the enemy's talking points without knowing it because he'd rather have his feelings validated than grapple with the truth.

I can conceive of no conclusion other than you are a liberal MSM plant sent here to confuse the world.  That is the only possible explanation for all of this.

Note the JA tactic:

Can't refute the evidence -- so change the topic to the absurd.

Keep protecting those monsters who prey on children, JA. You're doing a service to your masters.

(See, I can do it too)

There you go again with your hoaxes.  I have to say your imagination is extremely impressive.

You quoted an op-ed, by the way.  Might want to find a study, at which point I could be convinced to pay attention.

Such a coward. Got (multiple) former handles run off for his blisteringly dishonest manner of discussion, and is back again to wow us all with his love of the establishment and hatred of thinking for one's self.

The King of the asshats returns. Until he runs away (again) after being embarrassed.

Not sure what you're talking about.  But it's probably more fake news or fake logic.

(for what it's worth, you're wrong about the multiple handles and all of the other stuff)

Still no study, though, right?  Gonna rest on the op-ed?
