ofiba
It was the same team? Sure it was. The additions of Alex Gibbs, Jim Mora, and Rod Coleman and the Falcons' amazingly pathetic schedule were at least as important to the team's success as the return of Ron Mexico. Atlanta's schedule last season: Tampa, Carolina, and New Orleans twice. SF, Arizona, StL, Det, NYG, Oakland, Seattle, KC, SD & Denver. That didn't have anything to do with their success. Nah, it was the most overrated player in the history of the NFL returning to put up positively Bledsonian passing numbers. Michael Vick is a tremendous athlete and a terrible QB whose reputation is pretty much a media creation. 307648 And his second season in the league? Without those coaches listed, without any real wide recievers? Yeah the defense played well that year, but he went into Green Bay and did something no one ever did before. Yeah he's not a fantasy football king, or even a conventional quarterback, but he is very valuable to that team winning. When he came back from injury 2 years ago, his team went something like 4-2 after losing most of their games without him.

And rushing stats add up to wins. Plus the defense played much better in rush yards given up from the year before. Positives in both those stat catagories often add up to victories. Look at Dallas. Their defense falls apart and they have a bad year. The year before the had one of the best run defenses in the league. As far as Vick is concerned, he needs to play better in the passing game or it's going to be hard to win it all. Yea, the Falcons can win and go deep in the playoffs but he needs to play better. He's got to stop looking to run the ball all the time.

/dev/null
really? we have so many stars left on the team from his drafts 307567 thats because TD gutted the team in 2001 i think there's only 1 player left from the JB era on our roster. and given his 06 cap number he'll prolly be gone next year
