Great show imo. And Hillary Brooks! And Stinky, Mike the Cop, Mr. Bacciagalupe.... all-star supporting cast. Even Bingo the Chimp. 1

But technically he's the feature of the show (per the OP) -- which I only bring up as an excuse to talk more about it because I love that show Speaking only about their (McBride/Hill's) trilogy, which is littered with a bunch of amazing/hilarious side characters, it might be hard to top this one: He just chewed the scenery (in the best way) in the very few episodes he was in The only one who comes close to topping him for me, and it's only because she too doesn't qualify as a side character since she's a Gemstone, would be her: She cracked me up that entire season. 20 hours ago, Kirby Jackson said: Marty Funkhouser (RIP) - Curb Still the best boss I ever had. 1

It was that wedding episode that was the most watched show of the 70s until Roots, and the 2nd most watched ever - after Little Ricky being born. But, the series was #6 and #7 in it's first two seasons. Edited April 6, 2020 by bbb 1
Simon Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Dee from "What's Happenin" Ron Swanson from "Parks and Rec" Pam from "Archer" And it's not a comedy, but the guy who played "Q" on that Star Trek series was really funny All the McPoyles 1

Rubes Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 My main takeaway from this thread is that there are a lot of old ***** on this board. 3
That's No Moon Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 (edited) Dr. Girlfriend, Brock Samson, and Dr. Henry Killinger (Venture Brothers). Honestly there are so many secondary characters from that show that are great even though you hardly see them. Shore Leave for example. Also Hunter Gathers and Colonel Gentleman.
