Commissioner Roger Goodell officially informed teams Thursday that the NFL draft will be held as scheduled next month.

Goodell sent his memo to the teams after the owners’ labor negotiating committee, the Management Council Executive Committee (known within the sport as the CEC) reaffirmed earlier Thursday that the draft should occur April 23-25, without postponement.

Glad we filled our most pressing needs during the FA period, this year's draft process sounds like it will be rather restricting and confusing.

If Beane feels a 7th won't make the team he should pay an homage to Punch Imlach and draft a guy that doesn't exist.

This has marketing written all over it. With zero sports related stuff going on anywhere all eyeballs will be focused solely on the draft and the NFL. Drives the price up on the upcoming television contract negotiations

roger telling teams if they complain they get punished is such an alpha move

well, if they get punished like the Pats* did for their last video infraction, that won’t discourage anyone ...
