Games won't count, it's just for fun. Would you watch?

Saxum Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 In that scenario who would control the Zebras, Krafty? 2
Formerly Allan in MD Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 You may well not be able to watch a live one this year.
Warcodered Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 I mean the technology is a long ways off but it is a possible evolution of the game with all the injury risks that come with live play.

Hardhatharry Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 (edited) No, also the racing part wont, people watch racing for the crashes. Edited March 23, 2020 by Hardhatharry
Codyny13 Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 Exsqueeze me...baking powder...no, I’m not watching other people play video games.
Rochesterfan Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 Nope - you can already watch e-sports and few do. I wouldn’t watch the NFL that way.
T master Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 Good idea for Nascar not sure just because of the amount of players that it will work for the NFL but you never know these are uncharted times we are in ...
thronethinker Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 My view of the future of Virtual sports is being able to choose the view of any player you want and watching in VR. You will see what the players sees. Obviously this causes issues with play calls and huddles, etc. Imagine watching the Super bowl in 5 years from the QBS helmet. Switching to the WRs view for the game winning TD. This is the integration of real life and VR sports.

The most popular twitch channels are bringing in a couple hundred thousand viewers. Espots have also become more and more of a thing in the past few years. I don't think it works as a direct sports simulation though, Id rather see the best gamers play games against each other. Watching 2 pro madden guys go at it is pretty entertaining honestly.
DrDawkinstein Posted March 24, 2020 Posted March 24, 2020 No. Wouldnt watch. There is no way for each player to control their own character.

Thats awesome! I love the old Zelda games. I need to get into my emulator one of these days and play some old classics like that again myself. 1
