The tweet was taken down as it violated twitter's rules. Screenshots are forever though.

It's genuinely sad to realize just how much Dems hate, hate, hate this country and its people.

If Sean Hannity's daughter posted something like this about Pelosi, the entire media would stop reporting on Covid and put all it's coverage on Hannity.

I'm hoping this is just political posturing and they're going to work it out before it goes that far.

I haven't been as angry over politics as I was last night in years, but now that the sun has come up and it's a new day (and I somehow managed to keep my Twitter account) I'm feeling slightly more confident that the powers that be won't drive us off the cliff.

Hopefully this will just prove to be a failed attempt at a power grab on the way to resolution.

Pelosi's attempt is a glimpse of how an authoritarian government would execute a covert takeover of the economy. Exploit a pandemic, force industry to shut down, then offer them the option of going under or signing over their rights as a condition of a "bail out". If we didn't know how dangerous they were before, we know now.

Amen, brother

Just heard that the proposal for the slush fund will have a board that works with Mnuchin, and he will have to testify in front of congress about how the money is spent. That’s very reasonable.

Unemployment benefits will pay pay full salaries for months

Hospitals will get billions

I like the oversight and I like the hospitals getting some money.

I don't like pure unemployment.  They need to give money directly to the businesses (including small business) so they can pay their employees and rent.  Letting everyone go to unemployment benefits is a terrible idea as those folks will not have businesses to go back to once this is over.  A few months of unemployment will not cover this.

Tiberius -  What's your honest opinion of all the added BS Pelosi/Dems put in there?

I very much support direct payments to people as consumer spending is 70% of all economic activity. Spending money gets the ball rolling.

I don't know anything about the "BS" in the bill because no one knows what's in it yet. My honest opinion is that the Right Wing is already spreading lies as usual.

Tibs can read?

The real problem for the Democrats is most people can read, comprehend, and, in spite of our "msm," get the word out. People are seriously pissed about the Democrats playing games. They are worried about their livelihoods, children, grandparents, and their own health. Playing politics does not seem to be playing well to the masses at this moment in time (if Facebook and Twitter (non-blue checkmarks) are any judge).

Part of me thinks the Dems are operating as if people are as distracted as they usually are. They're forgetting that everyone is watching every move right now, because we're all stuck at home. Yet, Pelosi is using her usual playbook rather than adapting.

And now everyone can see her for the cold, callous person she actually is. It'll cost her the speakership in the end I bet.

Yes, they are watching as the Democrats are taking leadership for helping the country while Trump lies, doesn't help enough and wants to send people out to work (and get infected?) so he can claim a good stock market number. Yes, people are watching

How someone can defend this practice of loading the CV bill with non virus assistance is indefensible.   The people who are taking advantage of the situation in Washington and those that defend the practice are terrible people.  We can/will disagree on if enough/too much has been done but seems like all people can agree on not taking advantage of the situation.  Those who are doing this need to look themselves in the mirror and access their beliefs that will hurt people for political gain.  OK - off soapbox.

Fearing coronavirus, Arizona man dies after taking a form of chloroquine used to treat aquariums

What's your point? A man ingests a chemical used for cleaning fish tanks and the bacteria that comes with the deal, and this means anything other than the gene pool gets slightly better?
