downunderbill Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 When Allen was drafted and during that first season, particularly the first few games, I recall a lot anger and fire everybody posts tying the HC and GMs job to Allen becoming the guy. First off I'm firmly in the Allen corner and believe he is the guy, it's not about if he will be or not. hypothetically, Just say he does severely regress this year and it becomes obvious he isn't the guy, would you be willing to let the current hierarchy have another crack at the QB pick. Personally, I definitely would, I love these guys and how they operate, feel they should be here for a long time, Allen working out or not. Whay say you? 4
BUNCH OF MULARKEY Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Yup. Josh seems like.a great young man but it would take nothing short of fortune teller to see what the future holds. Just think when all you old fuddy duddys were 23 years old. The job that that they have done building this roster to date surpasses the success of one position. 2 1
Rigotz Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Yup. Anybody who knows where we’ve been, knows how much better it is now. I don’t want to go back down that road again. 11
El Guapo Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Yes. Give them another shot. I like our trajectory.
Freddie's Dead Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Josh Allen isn't the acid test, McD's game management is. Let's hope he doesn't boot another first-round playoff game against an inferior opponent. 4 2
Bob in STL Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Yes. Beane and McD have been the 2nd most competent after Polian/Levy. You DO NoT get rid of them, they could actually win a SB. Allen was the best choice they had so no fault if he is not the man (I think he will be be). This team is thriving under Beane/McD. Keep it going! 2
78thealltimegreat Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Yeh I think you have to let them run the team for the foreseeable future this team is in the best shape coaching and front office wise it has been since Polian was running around 1
Maybe Someday Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Yes. Had this Josh been showing like the other Josh then I would have 2nd thoughts. It's clear we're finally playing chess rather than checkers.

Picking a franchise QB is not an exact science. They are a great combo that gets the most out of their team year after year. This is a silly thread.
BuffaloRebound Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Yes, but it will be interesting to see how they handle increased expectations for the first time. Josh is still a bit of a wildcard. Kind of risky not upgrading the backup QB position. 2
papazoid Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 absolutely 100% yes these guys deserve another 5 years each ....and we deserve some stability 2
Steve Billieve Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Even if there is no improvement from here on out, it would be hard to say that it didn't work out. A starting QB on their first contract is a beautiful thing, and we just went to the playoffs . . . again. 2

I would bet my house it wouldn't be so rosy. I've seen enough meltdowns and the phrase repeated on the boards following losses to have believed there to still be more than a few that would tie them all together.
John from Riverside Posted March 21, 2020 Posted March 21, 2020 Its gonna work out......so this is a non starter for me 2 1 1
