Yeah, it's a major deal.

Warming up very quickly to a running back in the 2nd Claypool is my 2nd round crush right now

Has both speed and power, worth dropping Smith & Murphy which saves us 10 mill and then add another 6-7 million. End of the day Sean wants to run the ball and this guy is a true workhorse back, your not getting that from Singeltary who is not fast or big Yeah speed, power and one (possibly two) arthritic knees. Guess you left that part out. Maybe you forgot.

Devin is special and needs to play. We need a back that can not fall on his face in the few carries they are gonna get (and hopefully still has some tread left?) Gore fell of BADLY at the end of last year.....we should not repeat that Did he fall off badly or did he only get carries in short yardage situations after Singletary came back where the Bills were amongst the worst in the NFL at blocking
Process Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 We already have three Clay Mathews in Murphy Hughes and Maddison. He is exactly what we don't need. Another veteran, somewhat washed up, somewhat still productive DE. Not a bad thing to have but we have enough of them. We need some youth at the position. I'm all for taking one in Rd 2. Young guy with potential is what we need. 1

But I feel that the bills made a big mistake in not activing Yeldon and giving him burn......
machine gun kelly Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 Matthews is old and hurt and Gurley is hurt even more. We already signed three defensive linemen and we’ll probably cut Murphy and have Harrison Phillips coming back along with Star and Hughes. we’ll get a RB on the cheap in the mid rounds in the draft.
billsfan89 Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 I wouldn't hate it on a low level deal. But this doesn't seem like the type of move they would make.

Clyde Edwards with Singletary would by a dynamic backfield. Claypool is another interesting name. Big body wide out. We might see a CB taken in the second or third. I don’t think we need a vet leader in any of the defensive position rooms. Klein was brought in as the Lorax replacement for LB. A few other guys have been brought in for ST roles. I don’t see a need for Matthews. Edited March 20, 2020 by atlbillsfan1975

Ok so just to be sure never listen to you talk about anyone in the future b.c you don't really know much about a player other than a name you know.

His sacks were good, the rest of his game not so good. 34 years old, he might still be useful as a pass rush specialist I guess. Wouldn't surprise me if he retires though.

MrEpsYtown Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 If we didn’t sign Klein it would make some sense as Clay could replace Lorax as the combo off ball sam/rush end. But I think that ship has sailed. I’m guessing he goes to a 3-4 team, maybe the Bucs and goes to play with Brady. I’d say Bucs, Raiders, Cardinals or Falcons. Gruden loves this guy.
