I guess many have their narrative to push, damn the facts full speed ahead What’s more so disturbing about this is that Bills fans have been convinced over the years that at you need this perfect culture to win. That accumulating draft picks, having cap space, and a team that gets along is the goal. Winning games is the goal, and the Bills franchise has done far too little of that. We thumb our noses at Fournette, last year he put up better numbers than Fred Jackson’s best years here. He’s plenty good enough for our Bills, for a 4th Round pick? Freaking steal. Well we’d have fournette to come in and run out the clock! Seriously though, you know had a bill taken Brady out, even if it cost us that game, fans would put him on the WOF Edited April 21, 2020 by AlCowlingsTaxiService

Man that's a tough environment for teams to come into!! I doubt this has any impact on how he feels. If anything it shows him how amazing our fans are , especially compared to that weak a$$ fan base in Jax . I wouldn't mind having him. This staff values a vet back there , I'm sure Yeldon has given some insight on him as well. We can't keep rushing Allen on 3rd/4th & 1 . He'd be a great addition , but will his ego be okay with Motor getting more carries and just a situational back? If he's on board , it's a great addition imo. I don’t find throwing beer cans at opposing players a illustration of “amazing fans” but I don’t table jump or puke and pass out either, so I suppose I’m not an amazing fan
Bangarang Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Can we please not try and trade all of our draft picks for every single player that becomes available?

They didn’t have an answer for him. Like the game Shaq picked a fight with him and they both got ejected? That was his best contribution all season I’d say. Fournette was torching us that game. Playing for a fringe NFL organization, with a GM that has a 0.333 winning percentage. The guy was the 4th overall pick 3 years ago. Let Jacksonville hand him to you for pennies on the dollar. Stop worrying about working hard. That's what Beane and McDermott's amazing culture is for.
Captain Hindsight Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 If we got this guy for a 6th i'd be ecstatic. He is way more talented than anyone we could get in that round and would be super motivated to play well in a contract year. I think this would be a huge win for the Bills if they landed him for pennies

I look at the general dysfunction of the Jags organization as of late, and the mess that Coughlin made with his old old school approach and subsequent firing. Fournette may not win the “hardest working man in football” award, but his stats tell me he works plenty hard enough on game days.

And missing 10 out of 46 games is also a concern. Then there's the fact that he's got one year left and will likely be looking for a big new deal or be gone after the year.

Nobody in the NFL is looking for choirboys. But there is a difference between "not a choirboy" and being a disruptive scum bag---you get that, right? Look at the list of "infractions" in Gibson's tweet. Does THAT sound like the kind of guy Beane targets? I don't think Beane gives a damn about whether the players go to church, or how they act in their private/personal lives (short of creating issues for the team). But he sure values players who have a high work ethic and buy into what the team is doing. The excuse that his behavior was OK because, well Marrone and Coughlin suck, is preposterous. They were successful in his first year---went to the AFC championship game. If he can't buy into a team that's successful, how will he react during tough times? Well we know that too. He completely s#its the bed. Again, I'll say I think Fournette is a good back (not great, just very good). And if there is a way they can ensure he comes in with a fresh attitude and a willingness to buy-in, then maybe they take the shot. Unless they are close to certain, I think they take a hard pass. We get a lot of Fournette reports here in north Florida. Unless Beane finds something hidden inside Fournette that makes him believe otherwise, I can't see the Bills making this trade. If they do, i think Beane sets it up so that he has to toe the line or he's gone. 6

Mat68 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 If they dont get the back they want in rd 3 would they send a 4th? Thats the question. The Jaguars offense has been abysmal for a while. Every game make them win by throwing and put 8 or 9 in the box. Fournette with a third less usage may become more efficent. Singletary, Fournette and Yeldon is as good a backfiled as any.
