The Firebaugh Kid Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Hyde is a solid back. The stats dont lie. Always liked him.
starrymessenger Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Great complement to DS. Get er done please.
Wizard Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Like others have said, he is a excellent back for what we need. A change-up to Singletary that is a ground and pound kind of guy who would lead to sustained drives and less passing pressure on Allen. Drop Murphy and sign Hyde with money saved from Murphy for 2 years. Then get a RT upgrade. 1
YoloinOhio Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 (edited) Hyde is a tough football player who runs hard and blocks well. went to pull this up and look at ya boy at #6 too. Only rookie on the list. Edited March 19, 2020 by YoloinOhio 2
BuffaloRebound Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Wow. Guess that’s why you can’t let 1 game form your opinion, because Singletary nearly got Josh killed on a couple plays in the playoff game. If Singletary is a good blocker, maybe Beane goes RB in the 2nd round.
Smitty75 Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 I'd take him in a heartbeat, he would be a perfect fit next to Singletary !

Pete Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 I'm thinking the Bills sign veteran RB and spend early draft pick on RB. Hyde fits the bill
OldTimer1960 Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 (edited) I’d just as soon pass on Hyde. He will be 30 years old at season’s start. RB is a position where I question the true need for a “veteran in the room”. I understood why they wanted Frank Gore last season - he is a perfect model of how the team wants their players to train and act and he had the resume to command that respect. Hyde doesn’t have that kind of resume and while he has had an OK career, what can you really expect from him at 30? If the money is close, use it to re-sign CB Kevin Johnson and then take a RB in 2nd or 3rd this year. Edited March 19, 2020 by OldTimer1960
Just Joshin' Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 A general question "interested in X" is only half the equation - what are the terms. Hyde for vet min - yes. Hyde for $10 million/year then no. No need to overpay when in round 2/3 you can get comparable talent. So if in the $2-3 million range than I would consider all else being equal.
First Round Bust Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Lamar Miller foist Donta Freeman second I don't care third then Carlos Hyde - maybe

ghostwriter Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 I’d rather go all in on Jonathan Taylor or JK Dobbins at 54. 2
MrSarcasm Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Not a Carlos Hyde fan. IMO he is Frank Gore 0.5... and that says something. 1
SmokinES3 Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 At the right price, if he still has it, he'd be a nice big body compliment to Singletary IMO.
JohnBonhamRocks Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 I support this signing. Vet presence w/ 1000 yards.
Smitty75 Posted March 19, 2020 Posted March 19, 2020 Yes ! Freeman would be a good fit too, at a cheap price for sure he’s only 27 if I’m correct and he might have some juice left. 2 hours ago, First Round Bust said: Lamar Miller foist Donta Freeman second I don't care third then Carlos Hyde - maybe 1
