Mark Vader Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 I don't think anyone saw this coming. Gruden loves to surprise us.

Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 (edited) Raiders need someone to say “Ow! Nate! Don’t throw so hard!” in training camp. Just building the kid’s confidence. Edited March 17, 2020 by Ridgewaycynic2013
Call_Of_Ktulu Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 I’ll take Witten all day long and twice on Sunday over Croom. Witten is a good blocker and even though he has lost his speed he knows how to get open. Witten has amazing hands and runs amazing routes.
LabattBlue Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Despite him being "50", his stats dwarf any TE on the Bills in 2019. Not saying I want him here, just not bad for being "50", or it doesn't say much for the Bills QB/TE combo.
buffaloboyinATL Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 That's odd, I thought he came out of retirement ONLY because of the Cowboys. Guess the paycheck is hard to let go. 1
DJB Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 (edited) But why add him? They already have a good TE. Oh wait I said good. Maybe Gruden wants a bad TE. Edited March 17, 2020 by DJB

Seoulofstone Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 (edited) Oof Mariota and Witten. Doesn't exactly scream Vegas! At least they got Littleton. Edited March 17, 2020 by Seoulofstone

Maybe he listened to recordings of his time in the announcing booth and realized he didn't have a future in broadcasting, so he might as well get as much money as he can as a player. 1
TigerJ Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 While I appreciate the OP's use of hyperbole, readers might appreciate knowing that Jason Witten is actually 37. He will turn 38 in May. Ben Watson, another ageless wonder at tight end played for New England last season, turning 39 on December 18. He has now retired . . . again.
