YoloinOhio Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 (edited) I don’t think Tannehill is a “bad” QB and I think the Titans were in a tough spot. But I think he’s a game manager type. Edited March 15, 2020 by YoloinOhio 1

I put Ryan in the "how the hell didn't he win one?" category that Philip Rivers belongs in. He is a better Quarterback than Flacco, Stafford and Carr and Tannehill isn't even in the same ball park as Ryan. Same reason Garappalo doesn't have one. Kyle Shanahan refuses to run the ball to close out the Superbowl. I agree with you though that he's a step above the players I listed.
DCOrange Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 The only positive of this deal for Tennessee is that they can get out of this deal in a couple years. 1

Looks like Brady turned them away.

Big C Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Lol. This contract is insane. Tannehill is not that good. He had some moxie last season but he will never lead them to a championship especially eating up that much cap.

Good but not great starting quarterbacks that keep your team from taking that next step because they need talent around them on both sides of the ball in order to win a Superbowl. Their salary prohibits the team from acquiring that talent. This was a bad move for the Titans. Especially given last year may have been the exception and not the norm as far as Tannehill is concerned. Matt Ryan good not great?

I hope we get to that point. However, if we're still not sure (like the Bucs and Titans last year), it's a good thing we have that 5th year option. 3 minutes ago, GoBills808 said: Matt Ryan good not great? You were clearly referring to the year they signed their contracts.
BuffaloBills1998 Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Tannehill is definitely not worth that contract. But now it’s Tennessee’s problem, did they not watch him during his tenure in Miami

billsbackto81 Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 That is an amazing contract for a guy who went 36-60 for 369 yards in 3 playoff games. That's roughly a 60% pass completion and an average of 123 yards per game. That's FRANCHISE QB CALIBER BOYS!!!??
