I kinda like the idea. I don’t mind watching; but the fanfare involved has gotten over the top.

Agreed.  Three days of nonsense is 2 too many.

I made a comment before the coronavirus that the NFL could just conduct the draft at home and it would still be just as popular. This would make better tv also. Get cameras in every draft room.

Maybe this year they can get a first round done quickly.

Although doing a TV brodcast for the draft will be entirely hard is everyone is remote.

I don't think shutting down the public spectacle will significantly speed it up.  Most of the 10 minute per team time limit is taken up by behind the scene stuff that is going to happen anyway.  Then the NFL Network/ESPN have to come up with stuff simultaneous to that in order to keep their audience entertained.  The networks can still do a lot of the same stuff, panel discussions on each pick, film clips, combine results etc.

I agree, the constant hype got old a bunch of years ago. The next thing ya know the NFL will want to insert a half time show into the draft...

As long as they got rid of that God-Awful "ferry them over the water to the stage" idea.

Stupidest idea ever.

Hopefully this might cut back on the ever increasing "EVENT" for the draft.
