Yes because of course picking up a former pro bowl player corner for 6 million equivocates to totally irresponsible spending on a player for 12 million

i totally see the correlation air you should be outraged

That pro-bowl season will be 5 seasons ago now.

I've questioned whether he is worth it, regardless of contract based on the last 3-4 years of data saying he has been really really bad on the field, where it matters most.

The only response i get is "How dare you question McD you idiot" and "its not your money"

I have not seen a logical argument that shows otherwise other than he played zone well 5 years ago.

You are 100% right and we saw teams pick apart Levi at times because they wouldnt throw Tre's way.

Moreover, Levi's lack of athletic ability showed up and showed his limitations. Something Norman lacks, athletic ability....

Yep, you can't hide a player on the field anywhere. Need quality at all 11 positions.

There's no question he struggled last year, there's also no guarantee he's playing CB.

Norman is a big, physical corner who still tackles well and is solid in Zone. It's not uncommon for those guys to transition to SS/FS in their later years and we currentlyhave zero depth under contract.

Norman could be a low key solid signing.

Is there any chance that the contract isn’t as much as originally reported? Almost like the agent hyping the numbers?

I would say that there’s a better than 50% chance that the value reported is highly inflated. Words like “base value” are meaningless. That could be $3M in non-guaranteed base salary plus $1.5M signing bonus plus $1.5M bonus for being on the final 53, plus NLTBE incentives based upon games started and performance benchmarks.

Did any of you who like this watch him last year? He was awful.

Should have resigned Kevin Johnson.,

Yeah, I'm going to lean on the side of Beane and McDermott....you know, two guys that know Norman's game inside and out and how he will fit into the Bills scheme.

Sure, kind of like Kelvin Benjamin

Yep.  If this news is coming from the agent, the absence of any word on guarantees is very telling...

Yep.  I think it is going to be a VERY team friendly Contract, the point being he is not guaranteed a roster spot.

I'm wondering if they spoke with KJ's agent and decided that he is asking for more than they are comfortable giving so they went with their  'Plan B' in Norman.

Does this mean Amari Cooper isn't coming B-lo! Didn't these guys have some on field battles over the last couple years? Not that I ever though Cooper was coming here.....

I'd rather a past it Josh Norman than paying Amari Cooper 20m a year to show up 1 game in 4

"I have no doubt that Levi can go out there and earn it again, but we're not into just giving out jobs,” Beane said at the NFL Scouting Combine last month.

“He knows that. He had a little offseason procedure on his shoulder. He's got to overcome that as well. So we have to protect ourselves. There can always be setbacks.”

He wasn't in a good scheme fit in Washington but also looked slow and sluggish, The scheme fit you can change but the slow and sluggish part hmmm. It's a low level signing much like Kevin Johnson was last year that could prove to be a solid pickup who both McDermott and Beane are comfortable with so I don't see the downside to this unless he quits at halftime.

Possibly, but Norman has played very poorly over the last couple years this is an extremely questionable signing none the less.

Good signing, low risk high reward.

Yup...and it also allows the Bills not to reach for the position in the draft...?
