Clemfield2622 Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 (edited) 1 yr 6 mil per Mike Garafolo Edited March 9, 2020 by Clemfield2622 16 1 1 2
BigdaddyinOrlando Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Like it, was best in zone coverage and is very familiar with the system. Nothing lost if it doesn’t work out. 14
BuffAlone Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Hopefully returning to a zone scheme will improve his play some. He's been dreadful as a man cover corner 3
ExWNYer Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Did any of you who like this watch him last year? He was awful. 5
zow2 Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Absurd. Hope the current Bills DBs get used to Norman getting toasted and then blaming the other DB’s for the blown coverage.
machine gun kelly Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 I know he didn’t do well in Washington, but I believe Washington was a man coverage team, and it is a 1 year prove it deal for around $6 mil. He did do well in Carolina under McD in a zone coverage scheme. Given this is a low risk deal and we already have White, Poyer, Hyde, and now Norman, could be good. Now, I wonder if they sign Kevin Johnson which I hope they do, will Wallace stick around? Thoughts by my TBD colleagues? 5

I'll reserve judgement until I see him back under McDermott and this scheme. There's a good chance he can still be very effective, and clearly this coaching staff believes it with the signing. 12
aristocrat Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 guy has been healthy for his career so we're not signing a guy who we pray will be healthy next year. we have a lot more talent on our d and better coaching and scheme fitted for him. this could be a very nice signing. 10

Gugny Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Why didn't Beane and McDermott just stay in North Carolina? 3 33 1 1
BringBackFergy Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Prediction: Josh Norman beats Vontae’s record and retires at the 8:42 mark of the 1st quarter, Game 2. 2 19
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 This signing should satisfy the ‘pitchfork, tar, and feathers crowd’. Played in Carolina, and level of play being questioned by many. Time will tell. 1
JMF2006 Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Well no need to worry about a corner at 22 Should be a Safety Rush or WR 2
Beast Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 Yeah, I'm going to lean on the side of Beane and McDermott....you know, two guys that know Norman's game inside and out and how he will fit into the Bills scheme. 13 3

He will be a Bill this year. 5

JMF2006 Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 He will be CB2 here not CB1 like Washington tried to make him. 5

Just don't get your hopes up for Norman or you will be sorely disappointed. I'm not questioning McDermott's defensive prowess but he's not a miracle worker. That's an expensive signing just to get a vet in the DB room. Color me extremely skeptical on this one. 2
