Kirby Jackson Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 (edited) He’s not my favorite prospect but I defer to Beane on all things. He’s done a nice job in the draft. I’ll trust him and not complain. Edited March 7, 2020 by Kirby Jackson 16 2 2
LEBills Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 Higgins has his flaws and their are better prospects imo but he probably has the best hands in this draft...and we were plagued with drops the last two years. 7
Alphadawg7 Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 I’m still high on Higgins. Honestly, there isn’t a WR they can take in rounds one or two that I would be disappointed in. Lots to like about all the guys projected in those areas. I think people made a way bigger deal out of the combine decision than they needed to. I mean he is gonna do all that at his pro day. If he didn’t feel his best at the combine, it’s a smart decision to not hurt his stock and wait until his pro day. 7 1 2
BeastMode54 Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 I don't care who the WR is, I just don't want to swing and miss. It was so disappointing drafting Sammy and see guys drafted later like Evans and ODB blow up. As long as the WR is good, not even great, I'll be happy
billspro Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 I think him, Mims, and Jefferson are all worthy of first round picks. All of the top six guys have potential to be number 1 wideouts. Who knows who will be the best one at the end of the day. Hopkins and Thomas were not the top rated wideouts in their class either. 3
whorlnut Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 I can certainly understand the buzz about Higgins. He might be the best in the class at catching area code balls which Allen usually throws. Especially down the field. Wouldn’t be shocked one bit if he is their target. The only thing that concerns me is his mysterious absence at the on field workouts at the combine... 1
Seoulofstone Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 Lots of good WRs. Don't overdraft because of need. I think Higgins could be a good player, but the Bills have to get the right character for this team and I don't love his fit with the Bills.
The Firebaugh Kid Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 The basketball background is attractive. Still....if he runs a 4.6 or worse I'm taking a shot at somebody with more speed and explosiveness. 2
Don Otreply Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 (edited) It is hard to know what Beane has in store for us, hell he could very well trade up and grab one of the top three, provided he can find a partner who wants to trade back, Beane may as well sit tight and go for two WRs and trade up later in the draft, we have nine picks, and imo we will walk away from the draft with not more than five guys. Trading up is in the cards again. Go Bills!!! Edited March 7, 2020 by Don Otreply
That's No Moon Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 Isn't he one of the ones they didn't interview?
Buffalo86 Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 Asked about his thoughts on Buffalo after he revealed he had met with the team this week, Higgins said their success in 2019 was impressive. He thinks it’s a team ready to break through. “It’s a playoff team,” he said. “It’s real cold up there, but I’m from Tennessee. It gets cold in (here too). But it’s just a team that’s hungry and you can tell they’re pushing for a super bowl soon.” 3
BillsFan4 Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 If the Bills draft Higgins, I would think any character concerns on him were probably overblown.
CaptnCoke11 Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 Higgins shouldn’t be picked in the first round. He’s pretty much a one trick pony at WR.
Bob in STL Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 We have a long history of drafting good WRs but things are different in the WR Diva Era of today. “The Process” will be important in bringing in the right player, talent is just part of it.
1billsfan Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 Looking at his highlights, Allen and Higgins would make a great match. Their playing styles definitely complement each other. 1
HappyDays Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 I've warmed up to Higgins quite a bit. I think he's a good fit for what this offense needs. The more I watch, he reminds me of Mike Williams. Not great separation or speed but he has an outstanding catch radius which is our biggest need on offense. The pass that Duke Williams dropped in the endzone against Houston is his specialty. He will be somewhat limited with his routes in his rookie year but I think Allen will feed him the ball anyways. And John Brown is the perfect complement for his skill set. 3
