Nothing about people staying at home. In a few hours I'm leaving for a spontaneous vacation in Bama, Fla and Georgia; this could get interesting. Driving, I take it?

Not 100% sure but it sounds like he was otherwise healthy. Stay safe friends.
Steptide Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Appears my last post was deleted. My guess is states are gonna start shutting down individually on a case by case basis. If anything ny will probably be one of the first. Don't worry though, I'll be at work all week.

Stay safe friends. Way down in the story it says this: "Perez — who also suffered from preexisting medical conditions — had worked at the department for over 10 years, sources said." Wish they could be more specific about that, but ya know, HIPPA laws and all that. 2

I just saw a whole bunch of ads + other stories after that quote I posted and figured it was the end of the story. lol Just now, Jauronimo said: Just as I suspected. Pre-existing conditions. An acquaintance of mine’s 40yr old, otherwise healthy friend is in critical condition in the hospital right now with this virus. And the U.S. has one of the highest populations in the world of obese and diabetic people, things that put you in the higher risk categories. Edited March 16, 2020 by BillsFan4

Without any panic or drama, I'm pretty sure it has already swept through most of Atlanta. Would not be surprised if my wife, daughter and I all tested positive given the cold we've all had for the past few weeks. Luckily we arent at risk for anything much worse. If you had a classic cold (runny nose, congestion), be aware those are low % symptoms for covid19 (<5%) 29 minutes ago, BillsFan4 said: Thanks, I didn’t notice that. Just cast a nice piece of lead, paint the top to match your wife's normal insole, and tuck it into her right shoe. Problem solved. 3 minutes ago, Steptide said: Pennsylvania is shutting down. Google it I'm not in favor of unsubstantiated or snarky posts, so how about you provide links or anything you know going forward and pass on the "Google it" snark? What I've read said non-essential businesses will shut down for 2 weeks (bars, restaurants etc), but grocery stores, pharmacies, and medical offices will be open and people are encouraged to make their normal shopping trips. That's a bit different than "people will not be allowed to leave their homes" and "ups is shutting down" which is the post to which I was responding. 1

John in Jax Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 This afternoon's presser at the White House brought some very grim news. DT said that this matter might go on til July or August. Guess that would mean that the NBA & NHL are done for the year, unless they just take the standings as they are, and have some sort of limited playoffs.

A comedian dies and goes to heaven. God greets the man and they have this conversation: God: So, I understand you were a comedian in life. Comedian: Yep. Made a great living making people laugh. God: That’s great to hear. How about telling me a joke then. So the comedian proceeds to tell God a joke about the holocaust. God: That wasn’t very funny. Comedian: Guess you had to be there.
