YoloinOhio Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 (edited) Trying to figure out why panthers would want him. He missed most of last season with a serious illness and is 33. Edited March 4, 2020 by YoloinOhio 1 1

Likewise and they have two young tackles they drafted. Greg Little played better as a rookie than I expected him to and Morton had a really good year on the right side.

I can understand Carolina wanting Okung because he apparently wants out of LA but I don’t understand why they’d trade turner straight up. Get older and one less year of contract control. Strange. Plus Carolina still has Greg Little who was a good prospect. 3
YoloinOhio Posted March 4, 2020 Author Posted March 4, 2020 Weird. Chargers win this one on the surface. Panthers did hire their OL coach, maybe something to do with it. 1
MAJBobby Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 Waiting for the other shoe to drop. This smells like the double trade Giants and Cleveland did last year for OBJ. I don’t expect this to be it. 2

Turner could of fetched draft picks instead of a 31 year old oft injured tackle on an expiring contract.
HappyDays Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 This makes me think Carolina has decided they will not be taking a top OT prospect in the draft. Which makes me wonder if they plan on trading down to accumulate picks. Or trade up for a QB if they lied about Cam Newton.

billsfan89 Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 I would expect there to be a draft pick coming to the Panthers but if it stands as a player for player trade it is a huge win for the Chargers.
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 At Chargers’ front office: GM Telesco: “Try Turner?” Coach Lynn: “Yeah, why not...”
