Steelers of the 70s, but they went with Noll and Dick Haley splitting the unnamed GM roll?

George Halas over his 5 decades with the Bears, I recall the Bears have the most enshrined??

Halas s the reason the post WW2 Billsdidnt get adopted into the NFL.  We like other who were not voted into the league folded.  Wilson being a historian is he reason why he named us the  Bills.

it was an accomplishment to land an NHL and AFL and NBA franchise so close together in Buffalo

Umm... yes, some GMS listed here...

But does anyone else know how this relates to the question posed by the OP other than providing a list of some good GMs possibly?   I hit the links and that does not help at all, at least from what I see. (Is it so we can go to their many yearly drafts and read each one and try to ascertain this? If so, not very helpful!)

Thanks.

agreed, and one thing to consider is that Buffalo was a much more thriving city back then, and the population was significantly larger.  Lastly these Se and SW cities were much smaller back then in those decades.

I think GMing is a giant crap shoot either way...Polian was great but when you look at his FULL drafts..there are a LOT of who the hell is that guys in there also...I just think the good ones hit on guys we consider stars then we look past the other(remember the draft was longer back then too) who the F was that types because they got Thurman Thomas that year ;)

For instance this was the Thurman Thomas draft TT was first that got left off but he was first and other than Carlton Bailey there are a ton of WTF is that in there ;) and I guess Jeff Wright I remember him as a undersized NT

Polian always seemed to hit on 1 or 2 guys but a LOT of the others were who?? lol

Jeff Wright was a pretty good player on those teams too...Mayhew turned out to be a good player for the Redskins, he had 7 INTs in 1989---he never played a down in a regular season game for the Bills

Thanks.

the question is what GM drafted the most HOFs

the role has evolved over the years, even today a GM can be split with other roles

George Halas in his role as everything for the Bears for over 4 decades, basically the GM, easily drafted the most HOF players .

you can tell me that doesn't count, whatever....
