Take the Covid19 discussion to one of the several appropriate threads dedicated to it.

I'm about to spend some time I could put to better use cleaning up the thread.

If you can't restrain yourself I will restrain you.

The comp pick would be for 2022 and that assumes you don’t sign any major free agents in 2021.

The issue that Clowney has is that cap space rolls over into the next offseason. Do you want 1 year of Clowney or would you rather have that 16MM available next year where you can sign a bunch of good players.

I think we are getting to the point where we will not be signing major free agents.

This roster is pretty much  complete

What? No! Why would they want a guy that everyone on this board knows is terrible?

And if anyone is in any doubt that getting a QB and contending for and winning superbowls helps you get receivers to take a discount..... then witness this deal. Smart from Sammy. Smart from the Chiefs. Win-win.

Once again Beane has done a great job plugging holes in the lineup. I think we go into the draft truly able to pick BPA. RB is the only need left and it CAN be filled in the middle rounds.

That’s a bad take. He didn’t take a discount, he took his market value to not get cut. ?

He was just very heavily overpaid till this moment.

Maybe. I still suspect on the market his value is probably a tick over $9m per.

Probably, but he likely doesn’t get that incentive package. And if the incentive is “make the playoffs” he’s golden!

Tyrell Williams got $12M; Sammy would get more.

Can’t be; if it were then it would be a LTBE and count against the 2020 cap.

Agree. Sammy is a lot better than Williams.

Is he? 673 and 3TDs with Mahomes vs 651 and 6 TDs with Carr.

KC has a lot more options to throw to, but Watkins isn't good.

Well Williams certainly isn't.

Sure about that?

Pretty sure. He's decent, but no where near what he should be.
