Take the Covid19 discussion to one of the several appropriate threads dedicated to it.

I'm about to spend some time I could put to better use cleaning up the thread.

If you can't restrain yourself I will restrain you.

I suspect the last piece added this week is a Rb.  I think it could be Gordan, Hyde, or Freeman.

I’m not anti-RB, but I think they can find a good RB compliment to Singletary in round 3-5.  I don’t have any great desire to sign any of the available FA RBs

I kinda agree but I think Freeman would come at a decent price and he'd be a good backup...tough short yardage runner too

I agree.  Beane has shown that he fills every hole in FA and enters the draft full BPA. I dont think they go to the draft with Singeltary Yeldon and Perry as the backs onnthe roster.

Loving this off-season so far

Hopefully the Jets cut Winters and sign someone younger & healthier. Either way they need to add two more OL in the draft to mix in with Edoga (last years 3rd round pick) and the veterans.

LOVING it? Really?

It's good that they're adding o-line pieces, but I'm not sure how GOOD the o-line pieces they're adding are. And don't they need some more offensive weaponry?

If I was a Jets fan,  I would be somewhere between mildly encouraged and downright annoyed. Look at what the Bills and Browns have put around Allen and Mayfield, respectively, and then look at what the Jets have put around Darnold. They need to get that boy some HELP!

Your only option to me in the first round is tackle or WR. Anything other than that doesn't help Darnold.

I'd go tackle round 1 and WR round 2.

These are not “splash” signings but I’d rather address a need with 3-4 guys than one guy if that makes sense.

Douglas is going for solid depth guys at a position of need rather than the “splash” moves that rarely workout.

Yeah, it makes sense cause that's what we did last year while you guys were splish splashin around. :P

As for what you're doing this year, it's not a bad to sign many, but the many that you are signing are not world beaters and from reports (for what they're worth) you are missing out on your first choices. You'll likely have a shot at a solid LT in the draft though, which will help.

IMO the amount of A+, A, A- players on this roster are (13): 1-RB, 2-WR, 2-OL, 3-DL, 2-LB, 3-DB. Another 10 or so promising players and the rest are either average or below average, or as we say on this site, "Great depth guy". Is this enough to win a championship. Not sure. Playoffs, sure but we sure have plenty of "depth" guys Are we going to keep signing journeymen or real players ? All this cap space and signing great locker room guys. SMH

If I had to predict some of the remaining moves the Bills make.

1- They will sign a DT.

2- They will sign a vet RB as is tradition.

3- They will not have a signing that is over 5 million aav.

4- They will sign an offensive linemen for depth purposes.

5- No starting caliber RT will be brought in, they are good with Ford/Ty.

6- They will not sign a pass catcher.

7- Trent Murphy will not be cut.

Happy to see Poyer extended on what looks like a win-win deal. Reasonable money and years.

I liked the idea of Reader a lot, but that contract Cincy just gave him is insane.

Happy with our approach to free agency so far. My remaining calls would be to Chris Harris Jr., Des Trufant, Matt Breida/Tevin Coleman, Joe Haeg, Rashad Higgins, Dante Fowler, and a name I've not seen mentioned on this board yet...the other Harris on the Broncos, Shelby Harris. Think he's an interesting younger player and brings a different skill set than what we currently have at DE. Could be had for a potential bargain.

It's almost 8PM.  That's when Beane walks over the graveyard of splashy signings and finds the gem that's buried under the carcasses.
