We already have two young fast guys who can cover in Edmunds and Milano. Ogletree might fit in that LB hole next to the two dynamic as a “cheap” offseason vet pickup. Process Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 This would make a lot of sense. I'm all for filling the needs at LB and CB with vets and using the draft to get some young studs for the d line and offensive skill positions.

He didn't show too much his first two seasons - not uncommon for a late-round pick to take a while to develop He was playing well in his 4th year when he got seriously hurt.

If he can be had for cheap, I dont mind having him in a situational role - on obvious running plays or against say, an inexperienced QB. But experienced QBs will have him for breakfast.

Must admit have not done much homework on the guy other than glance at his stats. Looks like he has a lot of Int's - 5 in 2018. Is he really that bad in pass coverage?

When drafted in 2013, almost every analyst was applauding his pass coverage skills.

bouds Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 I live in NYC, watched this guy play, he is just bad. He has no roll in the NFL, can't pass cover and can't pass rush from the outside. Like Beane said, Zo was a swiss army knife. Zo played over guards and rushed, played outside and rushed, played off the ball as a stack linebacker. Of those 3 rolls, Olgetree does one, stack LB, that's it. He will give us no pass rush, and no pass coverage (which admittedly wasn't Zo's strongest attribute). Just don't see the point of bringing Olgetree in.

Cleveland fans hated him and told us he would never amount to anything and shouldnt be brought in as a starter
