Open primary.

The CBS poll is the most recent included in the RealClearPolitics average for South Carolina and there are only three other recent surveys. But Steyer is in third place in all of them. If this bears out Saturday, Steyer’s presence on the ballot could either hand the contest to Sanders outright—effectively ending the race—or sap enough delegates from Biden to deny him any real momentum from a win.

The longer the “moderate” vote is divided among multiple candidates—and Bloomberg will join the fray in earnest on Super Tuesday—the more impossible it becomes to prevent Sanders from winning a plurality of delegates. But, as I noted yesterday, all of the candidates have an argument for remaining in the race.

All, that is, except for Steyer.

If Biden is smart (yeah, I know), he's making a backroom deal with Steyer to be Secretary of Whatever-he-wants if Quid Pro Joe wins the nomination/election.

Since it is an open primary I've seen a lot of chatter on which way registered Republicans should vote. Chaos or more chaos appears to be the choice.

I live in South Carolina and I won’t be voting in the primary. Although I expect Trump to win the general, playing the primary chaos game makes me too nervous when there’s not a dem candidate I could stomach voting for in the general. Write ins aren’t allowed in primaries here or I’d write in Trump.

Make Steyer Energy Secretary. That’s the only issue he’s even running on. Make Bernie Health and Human Services since he’s also a one issue candidate. And make Tulsi Defense Secretary. And finally Warren can be Education Secretary, as she’s an ex-teacher.  Mayor Pete can become Party Chair and wait his turn to become an actual national candidate. Done!

Biden accidentally tells South Carolina crowd he's a Dem candidate 'for the United States Senate'

By Joseph A. Wulfsohn | Fox News

Former Vice President Joe Biden made an unfortunate gaffe just days before the critical South Carolina primary, telling voters he's a Democratic candidate for the "United States Senate."

Biden was one of several 2020 hopefuls to attend the South Carolina Democrat Party's First in the South Dinner, where he reportedly received the longest ovation of any of his competitors.

However, wrapping up his remarks, he misspoke about which office he was seeking.

Will sanders make it to the election? Looked like he was going to kick the bucket last night at any second.

That is a nod to the deceased demographic, which is a large voting block for the Dems.

Unbelievable! I posted this as a joke a couple days ago and this morning some clown at The NY Times wrote an article saying pretty much the same thing!  How do you get a job at one of these left wing rags?

They're not a very diverse lot, but that can be forgiven so long as they all apologize and vote right down the Democrat line.

With his campaign floundering, Joe Biden’s got to find a strategy that can turn things around for him. Apparently, at least as far as South Carolina is concerned, he’s decided to give going after Nikki Haley a try:

Naturally, Nikki Haley is very upset and bothered by this.

Except no she’s not. In fact, she’s got a proposal for Joe:

Hold up Joe. I will put my brain up against yours anytime.
Bring it. #GodBlessJoe

Polls open at 7:00. It’ll be interesting to see if Steyer can overtake Bernie for 2nd. I doubt it with the fake support Bernie’s expected to have from republican chaos voters, but still think it’s possible.

Early results look like a landslide for Biden here in S.C. He’s  at 51% with 3% of precincts reporting. Sanders currently 2nd at 18%.
