Fixxxer Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 I always liked him, he can be disruptive at times.

Cheektowaga Chad Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 Could be a decent back up option if every thing else falls through. Could be useful in situational football

For reference, Shaq had 10.5 sacks and 30 QB hits in the last 29 games. Expand I can't go by a stat line that's a year removed cause of injury. I can only go by what we've all seen this past year, and Shaq was the better player. He's younger and starting to hit his stride as he figures things out. Vernon's best days are behind him in IMO, but that's just my opinion. Only McBeane can determine if he's worthy to hold a place here. Edited February 26, 2020 by billsbackto81

Expand Right - I meant that if a guy like Vernon is signed I think Murphy would be the odd guy out, and wouldn’t impact their decision on Shaq. I think Shaq’s future is more tied to any long term solution they move forward with at DE, whether that be a different young FA or a high draft pick.

It was a bad trade but not on the current regime, they should definitely move on if he doesn’t take a pay cut. He’s a decent piece but hadn’t proven to be worth that cap hit
