WIVB-TV and the Buffalo Bills announced a multi-year agreement to make News 4 Buffalo the “Official Broadcast Station of the Buffalo Bills”, beginning Friday.

As part of the agreement, News 4 will broadcast Bills preseason games and has acquired exclusive rights to Bills programming, including The Sean McDermott Show.

How long had channel 7 carried preseason games?

Seemed like yesterday that all the games were on NBC

I remember Rick Azar doing the play by play for Bills preseason games on channel 7 way back in the day.

Wonder if this changes for Rochester too

Go to WIVB.com and look for the story; they’re saying WROC will be the Rottenchester affiliate.

The Buffalo News says Ch 10 in Albany is part of the agreement.  Games have been on Ch 23, but since it's the same management I'm guessing they'll stay on Ch 23.

Does this mean that any potential Bills games broadcast on ESPN or NFL network also get broadcast on Ch.4?

Okay by me. I get Ch. 8 on antenna clearly.

Channel 7 (ABC in Buffalo) is drastically cutting costs.  They are the lowest (by far) rated news station in the Buffalo market.  They just gave up the Children's Hospital  Telethon which they sponsored and broadcast for many, many years.  The news, weather and sports staff, except for a few polished personalities, look very rag-tag compared to channels 2 and 4.
