1st attempt at a poll.

2018:

I looked at the list of drafted players and it made sense to only include these 2 players. Harrison would have definitely made the list if not for his injury. My vote is Allen over Edmunds. After a start to the season where Allen seemed to be a turnover machine, he turned it around. He cut down on turnovers and was playing as well as any qb not named Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson. Edmunds improved, just not at the rate of improvement shown by Josh. Hopeful that Harrison will show the same improvement.

2019

There seems to be quite a few more players with potential to show dramatic improvement over the 2018 draft. I can see where our first 4 picks last year improve dramatically. My vote is Oliver. He played NT in college and was double teamed a lot. He then switched to 3-tech DT where he could take on more single man opportunities. I think he comes back stronger and with a better idea of what works for him in his new position. From there, it's a toss up on who will improve the most. Pretty sure I read somewhere that Knox will work out with Josh in the off-season. If he does, he has the potential to make a big jump from his rookie season.

this is a great poll.   I'm encouraged that all 2018 players seemed to improve, esp. Allen, Edmunds, and Milano.

I think Ford improves the most (just because he had a struggling rookie campaign and there is more room for improvement), but I expect Oliver, Knox and Motor to be in the top 5-10 in their positions next year!

I went with Allen and Ford.
2018. Allen. Tough call between Allen and Edmunds I feel they are on similar trajectories up. Both show flashes of being the player we hoped they could be when drafted. I think this third season is when we see consistency out of both players.

2019- Ford. i think the coaching staff will give Ford a designated position the entire preseason camps and this will allow him to focus.

Great idea @Dopey!! This was tough in both cases which makes for an interesting poll.

I went with Edmunds for the 1st part but could have went either way. I thought both he and Josh had flashes as rookies. Josh became a dynamic playmaker (albeit inconsistent), but Edmunds became a Pro Bowler. I LOVED the progress of both.

Part 2 was equally as challenging. I narrowed it down to Knox, Oliver and Joseph. I tried to use the same logic as part 1. Joseph felt like a bit of a cop out in that he didn’t play. If he becomes a starter or even quality depth that’s a big step but felt like cheating. Knox has a chance to be a top end TE so his ceiling had me considering him. If he jumped to 900 yards and 7 TDs next year (or something) he would be right in the mix. In the end I chose Oliver despite him already being good. I am bullish on him being great. I thought that since his first year at Houston and nothing has changed my mind. He’s a double-digit sack guy next year. He’s a Pro Bowler and an impact player in this league.

Josh and Ford.

Ford wins almost by default.  It’s so much easier for him to improve based on how poorly he played imo.

Milano was a rookie in 2017 not 2018, FYI

True about Ford because he's got the most room to improve, but the question remains, will he improve at all or at least show more improvement than the rest on the list.  I don't think so.  As much as we love Knox, he had way too many drops.  If he and Allen spend much of the offseason together, then I think he'll have the biggest improvement out of the rest of the group.

Went with Allen over Edmunds because the ceiling for QBs is higher than every other positions.

Chose Ford for the 2019 rookies. I think a year in a NFL strength program coupled with a fixed position and focused reps will make a big difference regardless of him staying at RT or moving to guard. With better upper body strength and technique he can take a big step, especially against speed rushers and inside counters.

True.  He may not even play.

I voted Oliver, but hope it's Ford.

I went with Josh, more so that there was larger room for improvement to be made, similar with my choice of Dawson Knox, he is obviously talented but left himself a big space to improve with his drops.

I voted Allen and Oliver.  I believe the ceiling is very high for Allen and Oliver will be a monster for opposing teams at the 3-tech.

Really wish we could move Edmunds to OLB, but that won't happen.  Wish I could have voted for Ford, but I'm not confident in him at all, he could end up being a big whiff.

I think Allen, but it’s so close. Edmunds took a big step as well.

I voted for Ford, cause I think he’s gonna come back and be a rock steady player for us going forward- no matter the position. People don’t realize how little the college game does to develop OL. A lot of these guys take time to become solid players.

If Vosean plays at all how can be not be the most improved since he didn't play a single down this past season. /semantics

Simple. Right now he’s neutral... didn’t play good, didn’t play bad. If he comes back and plays poorly, he’ll not be the most improved- he’ll be the biggest regressor.
