FluffHead Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 (edited) @AdamSchefter: Former Panthers’ TE Greg Olsen will visit the Bills and Redskins this week, per source. Buffalo’s GM Brandon Beane used to be with Carolinas, as did Washington’s HC Ron Rivera. Edited February 4, 2020 by FluffHead 7 5 2
Bangarang Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 Meh...5 years ago this would be pretty exciting. 8 1 2 1
Canadian Bills Fan Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 Ya I would rather go after Hooper 5
CincyBillsFan Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 This is great news. I think this guy still has gas in the tank and he would be a fantastic mentor to Sweeney & Knox and security blanket for Allen. Here's to hoping! 5 1
J-GunJoshAllen17 Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 (edited) We should really sign him and then one of Hooper or Henry. Sick match up problems for other teams to deal with, Henry Olsen and Knox. Then look for the #1 reciever in the draft. Edited February 3, 2020 by J-GunJoshAllen17 5
FluffHead Posted February 3, 2020 Author Posted February 3, 2020 It appears Bills get first crack over Redskins @RapSheet: The visits are beginning soon: Olsen will visit the #Bills and old friend Brandon Beane and then the #Redskins and old friend Ron Rivera this week.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 I’m shocked! A former panther AND a tight end? 3

I can’t see the Bills spending that kind of money on a tight end. Olsen fits the profile of the player they are looking for. 7 1

Phil The Thrill Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 Would you be ok with signing Olsen and turning the page on Tyler Kroft? Maybe Lee Smith too? 1 minute ago, OZBILLS said: What a way to screw your friends! Leveraging one off another! ...or he wants to end his career playing for a coach he knows and respects? 3
ngbills Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 What is this guys market value? Looks like it may be in the $5M per range. I'm for it only if is a mentor for Knox and we still are look at Hooper or Henry. Hooper, Knox, Olsen, Sweeney/Croom/Smith.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 I doubt Beane will spend big bucks on the TE position. This seems like the type of move that I anticipated. Good mentor for Knox and Sweeney. 4

We don't know what is going on behind the scenes here, so I won’t leap to judgement. I trust our guys not to be stupid. They all know the game being played here. . JoeF Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 Just now, Augie said: The Frank Gore of TE’s? With a bit more tread on the tire... My favorite Panther but based on injury history, he will be on the field about 10 games. When on the field though the guy makes contested catches like few I have ever seen and he still has that skill based on what I saw last year. Would love this weighing all the positives and negatives. I think Tyler Kroft is likely a goner if this happens. 1 1
