Happy Days Lois & Clark Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Both of these guys should be 2nd day picks Roydell Williams was JP Losman's top receiver in college. Williams & Losman should have some kind of comfort level with each other. Roydell Williams Grade: 3.68 Position: WR Class: Sr School: Tulane Conference: C-USA Ht., Wt.: 6-0.5, 190 40 Time: 4.51 Grading System BIO: Three year starter awarded All-Conference honors as a senior after leading the team in receiving with 52/862/12. Junior totals included a career high 66/1,006/9. POSITIVES: Consistent pass catcher with reliable hands. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, comes back to the ball and goes up in a crowd to make the difficult catch. Stays low exiting routes, positions himself to make the reception and out muscles or physically defeats opponents. Extends and offers the quarterback a nice target. Tough running after the reception, breaks tackles and picks up positive yardage. NEGATIVES: Possesses built up speed rather than a quick, explosive burst. Choppy footwork into breaks. ANALYSIS: A productive collegiate receiver with good upside for the next level, Williams has fallen under the radar screen in scouting circles the past two seasons. Continually got the job done at Tulane and turned in an outstanding performance at the Senior Bowl when he was a late-week roster addition. Wont' be selected until the later rounds yet could be a very productive fourth wide out at the next level. PROJECTION: Early Third Round College: Tulane Height: 6-03/4 Position: Wide Receiver Weight: 188 Class: Senior 40-Yard: 4.48 SCOUTING REPORT Strengths: Good natural athlete...Tough and very strong...Not afraid to go over the middle for a catch...Has very solid hands...Good height...Does all the little things. Weaknesses: Doesn't have the top speed you look for...Is too thin and needs to add bulk...Won't be a deep threat in the pros...Upside is limited and will never be a star...May have some durability concerns. Notes: Was actually drafted to play pro baseball by the Cincinnati Reds out of high school...The type of guy who doesn't do anything great but everything well...Could make it as a backup or possession receiver at the pro level. - Scott Wright --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Odds are a 3rd QB on the team won't play anyway so why not take a guy from Harvard to hold the clip board & be able to add some insight. Ryan Fitzpatrick Official Bio College: Harvard Height: 6-23/8 Position: Quarterback Weight: 232 Class: Senior 40-Yard: 4.87 SCOUTING REPORT Strengths: Does a nice job disecting defenses...Very smart and a good game manager...Team leader with top intangibles and a competitive fire...Does all the little things. Weaknesses: Didn't play against elite competition...Size is only average...Isn't very mobile...Arm strength is adequate, but not special...Will make some poor decisions. Notes: Led his team to an undefeated season in 2004 as a senior...Probably doesn't have the physical tools to be a starter at the next level but could develop into a backup. ans4e64 Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 let me tell you something...... fitzpatrick will be a starter someday and is one of the biggest sleepers in this draft
Albany,n.y. Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Drafting a QB at any point in the draft makes no sense period.
Arkady Renko Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 let me tell you something...... fitzpatrick will be a starter someday and is one of the biggest sleepers in this draft 305727 Yeah, he might be the next Jay Fiedler, yippee! I have been to games where Fitzpatrick played and he was good, but not impressive... Jay Fiedler seemed much more dominant while he was at Dartmouth. We have a solid third-QB: Kevin Thompson, please see avatar.

stuckincincy Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Ryan Fitzpatrick 305713 Depending on what team is picking at the time, I can see him being a late 4th or high to mid 5th rounder.
