My point is even with Brady at age 43, none of those guys will win more games with the patriots as Brady would next year.  And that doesn’t even factor in the fact that it’s not even close as to who you’d want out there in a playoff win or go home game even at age 43.
To move on from the greatest player of all time and not let him retire as a Patriot for any of those guys is absurd.  Steve young was a hall of famer.  Luck was the best QB prospect to come out of college in years.

We disagree here. He is in rapid decline and CERTAINLY was outplayed by Tannehill last year and maybe even Jimmy G at times. They are heading in different directions. Brady is a mid level starter in 2020. That’s exactly what those other guys are. With that Patriots defense those guys could absolutely win as many games as Brady would!! That’s why the Patriots are okay letting him leave. BB can be ruthless but if he thought that Brady was the best option they’d meet his number.

At this point Brady is no better than those guys IMO and trending in opposite directions. The Patriots won with defense over the last 2 years not Brady. I think you’re remembering Brady at his best.

2019:

Brady - 60.9% completion, 253.6 ypg, 24 TDs, 8 INTs, 6.8 YPA, 88 rating, 52.5 QBR

Jimmy G - 69.1% completion, 248.6 ypg, 27 TD, 13 INTs, 9.3 ypa, 102 rating, 60.2 QBR

Tannehill (extrapolated over 16 games) - 70.3% completion, 228.5 ypg, 32 TDs, 8 INTs, 9.6 YPA, 117.5 rating, 65.4 QBR

Teddy (extrapolated over 16 games) - 67.9% completion, 153.8 YPG, 28 TDs, 6 INTs, 7.5 YPA, 99.1 rating, 45 QBR

There isn’t a big difference at this point.

Tyrod Taylor 2015

63% Completion percentage, 216.78 ypg 24 total TD 6 INTs, 8 ypa 99.4 rating 65.3 QBR

Bonus points for being a PFF superstar and Cian Farley's best QB in 2015

Basically Brady wasnt much better than Tyrod in 2015.

I simultaneously hope Brady returns to NE and gets benched while also his last throw being a pick 6

Kind of what I was getting at earlier:

He is just not the same player that he was 5 years ago (or even close).

Precisely why I hope he stays put.

If Brady stays in NE, we once again will have to chalk up 0-2 to start.

We may have to do this until Belichick leaves, considering that before the last start in which he was electric, Brady was mediocre the previous 4 or 5 against us.

I guess I’m in the minority here, but I hope Brady leaves but don’t believe it will happen.
Belichik is a great coach but he’s no magician.  Replacing Brady with any of those alternatives does little on paper to make them a better team next year.  In reality, it will completely divide their fan base and probably even their locker room.  Moving on from EJ Manuel or Losman has divided our own fan base.
Can you imagine what our fan base would do if we let the best player in NFL history who won us 6 Super Bowls walk for Ryan Tannehill or Teddy bridgewater?
Belichik has no choice here.  And he’s acting like the maniacal psychopath baby that he is.  Brady will be back after Belichik is done with this tantrum.

What game did you watch?  He wasn't "great" at all, and the Niners are built around their defense, running game and George Kittle.  Any decent QB will be successful there.

the game where  they were up by 10 and the defense let the chiefs score late.

I get that but Brady sucked last year and isn't getting younger.  These ESPN morons that think he'll put the 9ers over the top are delusional.

People be laugh/confused reacting to this as if the Bills aren't 0-15 against Bill and Tom when both finish the game in the last decade, and as if Brady didn't pick us apart in December, 26 of 33 for 271 and a TD, with over 38 minutes possession and 23 first downs (to our 14) and 414 total yards (to our 268)

I believe the 49'ers were Tommy Boy's favorite team growing up and they have a pretty good team right now.  I also don't think he cared/cares much for Garropppollllooo and would love nothing better than to see him get screwed (by non porn stars this time).  Sounds like his team made this all up.

I would love for Brady to leave NE, but I don't see it....and if he does, going to SF is not a good scenario IMO....if anyone can win with Jimmy G, it's BB......let him go to the Bucs or the Colts....not afraid of Brissett....

Tom wasn’t 97 years old for the last decade.

McD and Beane wasn’t our coach and GM for the last decade.

This current roster wasn’t our roster for the last decade.

This obsession to look backwards into things irrelevant today to make decelerations about tomorrow is a waste of time.

We should have beat them both times this year.  Going into this next season we are a serious contender to win the division with or without Tom Brady.  The lowly Dolphins beat them in a must win game for NE this past season, and yet you think we are guaranteed 2 losses???

Sorry your post you’re defending was ridiculous.

Tirana are not interested in mortgaging future for two years of tommy boy. He is demanding say in GM decisions and wants to be able to make his own play calls. The only team I think that considers it is Vegas and they will only do it as lip service.

You are using facts which don't conform to my feelings that he totally sucked, because he wasn't not as great is in the past, because you know there are only two levels of play 1) greatest ever 2) totally sucked.
