Nelius Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 McGahee. I remember seeing red when he left and trashed the Bills after really being a disappointment for a good chunk of time that he was here. And then he had that terrible Jim Rome interview and was just kind of an awkward dude in general. People have trashed Lynch in this thread for seemingly not liking Buffalo but McGahee provided the blueprint. And he was less charismatic. And intelligent. And good. Just a total bum. 1

It’s fun to debate this with all its ins and outs, but it really is nothing to get up about, after all it’s just a bunch of guys opinions getting thrown around. Those that still hold a grudge? Oh well for them. You have your opinion and I respect that, and do not think worse of you for holding it. Not quite time for beer ? but it’s 5:00 ? somewhere ?? Go Bills!!!

Over 29 years of fanhood Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Surprised there is no mention of the killer or the cocaine trafficking deadbeat dad. i guess as a Bill while a Bill on the field, no one pissed me off more than lil Dougie. Off the field Maybin talked like a hofer that didn’t sniff the field

That guy.

He was vanilla and just constantly checked the ball down. He had no promise of putting the team on his back but Buffalo loved him I'm going w/ the guy on your avatar, Maybin. Total bust, seemed to have a bad attitude. That said, he should NEVER have been taken at 11. 1
Kirby Jackson Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 13 hours ago, The Frankish Reich said: Great question. OK, here's my principles for who gets to be considered: (1) tenure as a Bill has too be long enough to build up a reservoir of ill will. Otherwise we could just say "Vontae Davis" (some have) and "Percy Harvin" and be done with it. I say it should be a guy who played more than one season in a Bills uniform. (2) has to be a player that makes enough money to truly earn our disdain. So notoriously bad kick return specialists or lower paid backup QBs shouldn't really count. But I'll make an exception for truly horrid performers; let's call it the "Marangi Rule." (3) it really has to be someone who stood out for being (a) out of shape/lazy or (b) an arrogant jerk with respect to fans and teammates. Not just some Erik Pears or Vlad Ducasse, who just sucked but who (to my memory) were never this type of guy. But the Marangi Rule applies here too. So ... that leaves me with: - Mario Williams. He played hard and well for half of his time here (well, maybe a third). But the huge, huge salary and lackluster effort overcomes the positive moments. - Ronnie Harmon. Scores so high on 3(b) that it obliterates the good things he did. - Aaron Maybin. Same as Harmon but high (literally) on the lazy side. - Fumblin' Wayne Patrick. OK, that's a blast from the past. But he was my first ever least favorite Bill. A fullback who couldn't seem to hang onto the ball, yet stuck with the Bills for 5 full seasons. Jim Braxton finally came along to put him out of his misery. - And, of course ... Gary Marangi Mario Williams was a 1st team all-pro as a Bill and averaged 11 sacks a year. It’s not his fault Rex thought he should drop into coverage. 1

Maybin tried hard when he was here (Or at least that's how I remember it), he just wasn't a good enough athlete to make it work in the NFL. I don't hate players that try hard but just end up sucking. You give your best effort and act like a professional is all I ask from anyone on the Bills. It is lazy players that I hate as a fan. I think Mike Williams strikes me as a player who will always piss me off. Yeah I see your point, he wasn't a lazy guy and that's probably worse than anything, but I still think its screwing a team over when you misrepresent yourself w steroids. I would probably have done the same thing he did, but I still hate him for it. We really needed a good edge guy, it hurt our team.

What he wasn't is a guy who's willing to do whatever it takes -- including the stuff that probably ruins your body longterm -- to succeed. I can't say for sure what I'd have done in the same scenario.
