Comparing Singletary to Josh Jacobs, it's true that Jacobs had more yards and played in more games.  Singletary was easily the better draft value, taken in the third round.

That doesn't make a difference at this point.  Jacobs was a monster selection for the Raiders.

It’s a nice mention and a sign of bright things to come.

Now, if Singletary stays healthy and gets 15+ touches a game next year, I could see him get offensive player of the year nomination.

if he started all 16 and/or was used properly

It makes a difference that Buffalo has Devin Singletary and Ed Oliver.  I have no problem with Josh Jacobs.  I'm just saying that Devin Singletary is one piece of evidence suggesting Brandon Beane did a nice job of handling the draft.

I'll say it as "arguably"

Two studs right there in 1 draft.

And time will tell is its 3 or 4 or 5, or 6 or 7.

All of these guys produced (more good than bad IIRC)

  • Round 1 • Pick 9 (9) • DT Ed Oliver.
  • Round 2 • Pick 6 (38) • T Cody Ford.
  • Round 3 • Pick 11 (74) • RB Devin Singletary.
  • Round 3 • Pick 33 (96) • TE Dawson Knox.

  • Round 6 • Pick 8 (181) • S Jaquan Johnson.
  • Round 7 • Pick 11 (225) • DE Darryl Johnson

the only one not to play due to being on IR  was

Round 5 • Pick 9 (147) • LB Vosean Joseph.
