We keep hearing that Asian hornets are the new thing now.

Where has Trump been hiding them?

They will miraculously disappear in April. They really don’t like the heat.

Trump is already slow in dealing with those Asian Murder Hornets. I understand Adam Schiff wants to hold pre impeachment secret hearings from now until November.

I don't believe there is a single significant policy rub in your post.  Newsflash, Trump was a known jerk before he was elected.  He was elected to resolve illegal immigration, cut taxes, negotiate better trade deals, end mid east wars and be a foil against the political and media establishment.  He also ran to some extent on fiscal responsibility of which he is failing, but what the Trump haters don't get is that while much of what you posted are unpleasant Trump happenings, it's the bigger picture, the important stuff that generates his support.  It would sure be nice if he were more "Presidential" but I wouldn't trade that for ***** policy.

Hear ! hear ! This is what the left does not understand. It really comes down to policy, and rejection of the complicit media and political establishment. I happen to like Trump’s style, but I understand when even some of those  who support him do not. Still, the choice is between policies. Trump’s are mostly good, and the policies proposed by the Dems universally suck. Even if the Democrats had the most likeable candidate in the world ( and they don’t by a long shot ) their generally deranged policy ideas assign them to the scrap heap.

A scrap heap that got millions of more votes in '16 and '18.

NYC got hammered because it is by far the primary entry point from Europe and it is the densest place in America.

I agree. NYC has the densest people in America. You are very observant.

I said European entry and density. Also the strain that hit in NYC is stronger than the one that hit the west coast, supposedly.

Okay, why is NYC hammered? Is it because it's blue?

Perhaps the ingesting of bleach is higher in Corona.

Since it's Q+A time, if black people stormed into a government building with guns for a reason they thought worthy, what would be your reaction and Trump's reaction?

Why did Trump refuse to bring an American translator into his meeting with Putin?

Why didn't Trump reveal his tax returns as he said he would?

Why did Trump say repeatedly that China is doing a great job with the virus? Why did he recently change his mind?

Why didn't the virus magically disappear, as Trump said it would?

Why did Trump refuse to answer Mueller's questions after saying he would?

Why does he make fun of handicapped people?

Why does he lie even if he has nothing to gain from the lie?

Why did he violate the Constitution when he violated the Emoluments clause?

Why does he whine more than any person you have ever met and then tell us how strong he is

Why is he totally terrified of being interviewed by anyone besides Fox? A man as smart and honest as he says he is would crush any reporter. Right?

After criticizing Obama for playing golf too much and saying he would never play, why does he golf so much more than Obama?

After saying he would hire only the best people, why so many indictments and crimes for these best people?

Why does he continue to insist that the Central Park 5 is guilty after they have been proved innocent?

Why is he so insecure and petty?

What makes you like someone who is the antithesis of how parents want their children to turn out?

Why would he want a spokesperson like Giuliani, who recently said if we are going to track the virus we should also trace heart attacks and cancer, a statement almost as stupid as suggesting injecting bleach into the human body.

Why did Trump say that the virus would not return in the fall when everyone knows it will?

Why does Trump say something and then say he never said it, even though it's on video tape?

Why do you think Trump's strongest support comes from uneducated, older white men?

Why did he threaten to sue if his grades in school were revealed?

Why does he wear more makeup than Tammy Faye Baker did?

Why does he insist that those around him must praise him to the point of embarrassing themselves?

Why did he constantly hire people and then refuse to pay them after work was completed?

Why wouldn't any American banks lend him money?

Why were so many apartments in Trump Tower rented to known criminals from Russia?

Why does he create magazines that show him on the cover and hang them on his properties?

Why did he keep a book of Hitler quotes by his bed?

Why did he say there were good people on both sides when one of the sides marched through the streets yelling "Jews will not replace us?"

Why does he steal from charities?

Why did he say he didn't know who David Duke is? Do you believe he's that stupid?

Why won't Trump allow Faucci to testify in Congress?

Why did Trump fire Flynn? Was he lying about the reason, then?

Why does Trump praise lots of dictators?

Here's the most important question going forward:

If the unthinkable happens and Trump loses in November and he claims voting irregularities make the election void, without concrete evidence, will you continue to back him?

Considering it's a cult that one's easy, isn't it?

As a former Democrat, I appreciate your illustration of why I will vote Trump in November. Your entire line of thinking is focused on the persona of Trump, and not the harsh geo-political realities that we face together. The old global order where we defend the global shipping lanes for free is over. Navigating what comes next is quite complicated. You ignore all of that. Without America risking the lives of its youth on the high seas, most nations lose the ability to trade and feed themselves. The global free ride on the backs of Americans is coming to a close. I am surprised you don't appreciate that fact. I get the feeling you will vote Trump in November. Call it a hunch.

That article has them a long ways from anything like phased trials even so they are far behind other trials.

I'm not putting down any efforts here but there are a ton of teams in progress on treatments and vaccines. You can track them on Statnews at their tracker.

...

The vaccine tracker has 4 phase 1 candidates, which would put practical applications still a long ways off. There's no way we will have a vaccine ready for enough people by the October/November rise.

In a website where cult members cover their eyes and ears to truth, your opinion of me is not a concern.

Remember early in this crisis who it was that kept falling all over himself with praise for China?

Now he says it's all their fault. That's his go-to move. Deny saying whatever he said and revising the past.

Tell me he doesn't do that. You know you can't.

It's just like his statements about going to war with Iraq. Yet, his fans continue to ignore his lies and incisive remarks about injecting poison.

That's your guy.

I vote Democrat but this shouldn't be a political issue as it should be data driven.  If I was a policy maker right now I think there's enough data out there that we should push for reopening asap and following Sweden's model to reach herd immunity asap before we do even more long term damage to our economy.  A vaccine (which is basically a shortcut to herd immunity) is too far down the road and that's assuming we can develop one.  If a similar amount of people are going to die, I'd rather see a spike in deaths immediately and get back to regular life than long term lockdowns where the same amount of people die at a slower rate.

Well said. I think we are at the point of diminishing returns on the lockdowns. Reopening is not a non-compassionate stance regarding vulnerable populations. Resources and behavior can still be focused on keeping them safe. It is a resonable approach based on much of the emerging data and needs to be done  now.

Actually I think the people in Corona might have been on to my miracle cure before I discovered it.

Yesterday I was doing a little weeding and I realized that, although not a lot of people know this, Roundup knocks out weeds in minutes.  So, I thought, why not try it on COVID-19? I figure that since Roundup does a tremendous number on weeds, surely it would be interesting to check its efficacy with respect to COVID-19.

Bottom line: whacking the virus with a little Roundup could be our path to victory over this invisible enemy. If there is a way to do something like that by injection inside, then we could be days away from getting out of this mess.

There's only one logical conclusion, isn't there?

How much is "much"? 10%? 25%? 50%? Or more?  Does the weight of the data (e.g., more than 50%) support your position?

Fake logic.  There is more than one possible conclusion.

And, you should thank me.  I just found a potential miracle cure for COVID-19.  We could be on the vanguard of an incredible approach here.
