Absolutely. Think like a criminal, not like a law abiding person.

How about we think like people trying to reopen an economy by controlling the spread of a disease?

CDC telling 330 million people in this huge country that they should walk around in public wearing masks over their faces does nothing but erode that organization’s credibility.  It’s like recommending a nationwide 25 MPH speed limit—it might make sense for certain parts of New York City or Chicago, but it is an asinine idea for most of the country.  And once again, to his credit, Trump refuses to bow down to this kind of virtue-signaling nonsense and stands up for common sense.

So Burns wrote a screenplay nine years ago about a fictional virus outbreak?  Please explain why we should care one wit about his opinion regarding the Coronavirus...

The vast majority of people do. Her point was that criminals don't think like most us - good times or bad.

So?  It was FICTION. It was a Hollywood screenplay.  And nothing in the article suggests that he knows the first thing about public health.

Steven Spielberg directed Saving Private Ryan. Maybe CNN can have him on during the next military conflict to give us his opinion on whether or not the US Military is going about it the right way

Ya raises criminal activity but as well helping people out. Just thinking if can down shape the curve would be easier to fight this. But it's soo spread out all over on earth. Makes it tougher. Wish China way earlier telling truth in numbers like Trump said.

The reported numbers sadly 1 million something to 7.8 billion people on earth. (Chinese numbers know it is higher).

It's a recommendation to use common sense. Even if you are in a rural area you should use a mask if you are around other people.  You don't need to use it at home or in your car.

You go to a place with a lot of people like a grocery store. You wear a mask.

Just wait until the cdc recommends vaccinations. “You can’t tell me what to do!”

What a friggin jackass.

This is your President, a guy who absolutely REFUSES to back the experts as they come out with new recommendations regarding wearing masks. He doesn't even have to wear the goddamn mask, just don't undermine the expert advice you're literally presenting to the public.

And the problem is, he's got a bunch of morons who voted for him who will follow his lead and those morons will die because they followed the lead of the moron currently residing behind the Resolute Desk.

At least he only has 8 months sitting behind that desk... scary as those 8 months will be.

it's okay tranny. back away from the ledge and put down the knife.

ALBANY – Upstate hospital executives and elected officials said it would be unacceptable to dispatch National Guard troops to pick up ventilators, masks and gowns from hospitals in areas not yet hard-hit by the spread of Covid-19 and deliver them to New York City.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo caught many in the state by surprise Friday when he announced the redeployment of medical equipment.

The governor said some hospitals have been reluctant to share ventilators and personal protective equipment, such as masks, for fear that they might need them sometime down the road or that they will never get the expensive ventilators back.

But now there is no choice, he said, as the novel coronavirus keeps spreading and a number of hot spots appear to be forming in the New York City area.

“I don’t have an option. I’m not going to let people die because we didn’t redistribute ventilators," Cuomo added.

Walmart is the latest retailer to announce it will limit the number of shoppers in its efforts to promote social distancing.

Starting Saturday, stores will "allow no more than five customers for each 1,000 square feet at a given time, roughly 20% of a store’s capacity," the retail giant announced Friday as part of its response to the coronavirus pandemic.

While most Walmart stores have two entrances, stores will use a single-entry, which in most cases will be at the grocery entrance, Dacona Smith, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Walmart U.S., wrote in a blog post

Shoppers will be directed to the entrance "where they will be admitted one-by-one and counted," Smith said, noting store staff and signage "will remind customers of the importance of social distancing while they’re waiting to enter a store."

"Once a store reaches its capacity, customers will be admitted inside on a '1-out-1-in' basis," Smith said.

I was in Wegmans yesterday and they have plastic shields up now to keep customers and workers separated at the check out. And lines to keep customers separated. That's all driven by fear of lawsuits, which work as a regulatory check in society.

Cool, so a bunch of people can wait 1 foot apart in a line waiting to enter the store. LOL

I don’t blame Cuomo for taking those actions.

Dire times call for dire measures and Cuomo should do whoever he can do to help solve this issue that is within his legal powers.

Right would be a worse idea to do right now. Hopefully people have this better thought out then 1 foot apart line.

They will have people in the parking lot enforcing the rules.

In many places here, the cops are also stationed at the entrances.
